Here is my standing so far:

Blues vs Hawks -- Guessed hawks -- 1/2
Ducks vs preds -- guessed ducks -- 1/3

caps vs flyers -- guessed caps -- 2/5

Here are my second round guesses:

stars vs blues -- guessing stars
sharks vs preds -- guessing sharks
caps vs pengs -- guessing caps (game 7 showdown)
bolts vs islands -- guessing bolts (game 7 showdown)

 

St Louis vs Dallas should an imteresting series. Powerhouse defence vs powerhouse offence. I'll take Blues in this scenario. Defence wins championships... well at least in football lol

Capitals have a tough road. I can definitely see a few games 7's coming. The playing field is pretty level at the moment. The only team that stands out imo is the Sharks. They should win in 4 or 5.

Damn Tampa smoked the Islanders. Who saw them going to the conference finals?

 

I thought that they'd flutter out in the the second round. But this raises an interesting thought in my mind: it's possible that Yzerman was waiting to see what he wanted to do with Stamkos after the playoffs. He could easily sign 2 players that total Stamkos's point production for around 3/4 the price. And now without Stamkos in the playoffs, the Lightning have faired quite well. This might give Yzerman insight as to whether Stamkos is really worth the 9M+ contract he will get. So it's possible he won't get resigned.

 

Toronto will pay that.

 

To have a central star to help lead Toronto's young promising youth, that'd be the best pickup for them. But I'm starting to think this really is a possibility.

 

Don't think he'll stay with TB, probably will go to the Leafs, there's a chance he might end up in Buffalo or somewhere else though.

TB is also way deeper than I thought. Drouin with 9 pts in 10 games and has looked great so far. Ben Bishop makes his 4th elimination game shut out. Hedman ran that whole series against the Islanders. Kucherov is lighting it up too.
