Better Build 42 or 45 Def?

Currently finishing up questing one of my pures into a Zerker account, What's everyones thoughts on def level? Should I get 45 def for zerker helm or stay at 42 for void? Is the extra CB lvl worth it for the strength bonus from zerker helm?

current stats are
60 attack
80 str
80 range
94 mage
40 def
43 prayer.

Stay at 42, get higher range (90 or so), and PK. If you do that, you should also get 44 prayer for the best range prayer. It really isn't worth PKing as a zerker with only 80 strength, if you want to do that get 90+ strength.

 

I know that some people like staying at 42 def and using a slayer helm (i) which has similar stats to a rune full but is also recoverable on death. I'd recommend staying at 42 for now and leveling up your strength some more instead.

 

42 get 94 range equal with your mage and whatever str you can get without combat levels and you'll have a bunch of variety in the wildy. Get void and all helms and can dabble into that side of things too with venge and 90ish range you'll be right around par with all voiders your level also. I loved my 42 def pure for this reason every bank you can come back with a totally different setup/swtich it's dope

 

I don't know allot about pure builds but 3def lvls would only get you 1 combat level so is it that big of a difference?

 

Voiders are defo more OP then zerkers IMO. Go with the 42 def and slayer helm (i)

 

When it puts you in the range of people PKing with DH/70 def then yes.

I'd go for 45, always always always. The berserker helm is more to me than just a strength bonus.

if you're going to stay 42 you will need 44 prayer as your best attack option will be range/veng combo to gmaul spec

 

I'm 75/90/42 with 44 pray and it's really fun hybridding stats but eventually I'll probably get 45 to have the helms for zerker clan pking
