2016-2017 NFL Discussion Thread

I think it's just that this draft is pretty shitty. I rather prefer speed because I think that's the most important attribute to a wide receiver. Physicality is also nice, but what's the point if you run below average speed? Many of the impressive/important catches in NFL history that involves a wide receiver is because they were able to break free from corners which is a speed trait.

 

Matt Forte to the jets.. Not sure how I feel about that given they aren't sure about who to sign at QB.

 

So far I love all the moves Philly is making this off-season. Cleared up a lot of cap space getting rid of Chip Kelly's disaster he created, and I like Sam Bradford in a real NFL offense. The shit Chip was trying to create for this team was just not working, and I'm looking forward to this upcoming season.. The NFC east is the most entertaining division in the NFL

 

Patriots seem to be slaying it recently with the pick ups and trades except for Donald Brown, don't like that we committed 250k guaranteed to someone I hope doesn't make the team

Do you really think it's anything more than a power play? Goodell has used it as a method to try and solidify his power as Commissioner but because Kraft is spineless the Patriots won't have a 1st round draft pick. I'm sure they'll survive however given they still have 11 picks in the upcoming draft.

Everyone's thoughts on the Rams' trade to get the first pick from the Titans? I totally think the Titans got a steal considering there weren't a whole lot of guys that they could use with the first pick. I think having 3 solid picks is way better than 1 great one.

The Titans - Rams trade has potential to be a win - win. In terms of draft value (value assigned to draft picks) the Rams actually come out on top which is almost mind boggling, I'm not necessarily a fan of that metric though. Anywho if the Rams end up picking the right QB which is easily the most important player on a team then they'll be a playoff contender team, if they don't then they'll have hamstrung the future of the team and Jeff Fisher won't be around long enough to try and rebuild. Either way for the Titans it's a win seeing as they seem to have their QB for the future and they're still in a very solid position to draft both in this season and next.

 

Funny enough, the browns are the ones most affected by this. If wentz goes 1, I think they'll pass on goff (ayy lmao) and trade for more picks.

 

Eagles and Rams are gonna look sooooooo stupid if Goff and Wentz are busts.

Call me crazy but i'm 100% confident that Dak Prescott is the best quarterback in this draft....
