PID changes

PID now changes once every 100-150 game ticks (60-90 seconds).

This means that within the duel arena, the priority of players who are fighting each other will not change throughout the duration of a duel.

So.... Does this mean everyone is going to PID-check to get high pid before challenging someone?

When two players perform an action the game needs to decide which player's action is processed first. Player ID (or PID) is what decides this.

 

Can still occur mid duel, so I don't think it will be a big deal under most circumstances.

Unless obviously you are literally timing it like crazy, which could be a possibility in huge stakes, I'm sure we'll get the answer from big stakers soon enough.

Damn.. I thought that it was like the old pid that we had at the start of 07 but changed every 60-90 seconds... lol gg.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if people find new ways to manipulate pid in the duel arena as a result of this change. What they should do is also randomize pid right at the start of a duel.

People who check PID in my opinion just waste their time.

If it was 100% sure everytime, then yeah go for it.

But, it has a lot to do with randomness so I don't see a point.

 

With the original system wasn't it to do with your internet provider/connection? And thats what I thought the new system has reverted to. With the adjustment of every 60-90 seconds it gets randomized?

As you can see, pid cannot change mid-duel, maybe read the OP first.

 

Can anyone give me an update?

If I go to the arena rn and challenge someone is it still 50/50 or are there special tricks now?

 

This kind of stuff trips me out, this could forsure give people a potentially unfair advantage.
