Ban related question

So my account that I was doing a bit of botting on got banned. It says in the message center its a 48 hour ban, and it's a bot busting moderate, but the ban is a year long when I look on the status. Is that actually what it is, or is it 48 hours. Could I contact Jagex about it in any way?

 

I'm not sure how long the ban is, but I do know they have a pretty strict no appeal policy. Contacting Jagex about it could prove to be pretty difficult. I've seen people try reddit and twitter to no avail.

 

You got flagged by the system, next a mod or someone will review the case to confirm it and then you will be permabanned

 

If it states that it's 48 hours it's 48 hours. Im confused that you got a moderate with only a 4o hour ban. You usually only recieve that if you get a minor ban.

 

That's what I mean. When I go to look at the message in the message centre, it says it's a 48 hour ban. But then when I look at the account status page, it shows that it's a year long. That seems pretty long to me for a moderate bot busting ban, so maybe someone mistyped the year? Idk.

The ban is only for 48 hours. The one year expiry refers to when the offence will stop counting towards the ban meter.

 

+1 but don't get it twisted the ban even when expired will be on your record, so the next time you get busted for botting your fuckkkkkkkked.

 

tweet them @jagexsupport. But they are very strict on bot bans, so I'm guessing its 1 year and there is nothing you can do about that :/

That is not the case, however it could be, Ive received 4 bans for macroing on my main account, first a two days, then a 7 day and the remaining two were 14 day bans. They are all expired by now however haven't botted on my main since then.

 

It's a 48 hour ban, enough said.

 

I wouldn't get my hopes up.
