Overhyped Albums

What albums do you consider to be way overhyped than they're seen as?
To me it'd be the TMMLP. Eminem deserves a lot of respect, but I personally don't see the original TMMLP as an Illmatic or a Liquid Swords.

 

MMLP was amazing. One of the best albums ever in my opinion.

 

I love it but I don't think it is GOAT as everyone puts it. I put my top 3 as Illmatic, Liquid Swords, and The Low End Theory.

 

i always thought liquid swords was overrated honestly. great album but wouldnt even be in my top 15. I never got the high praise for hard to earn by gang starr either. good album, but i never got why anyone would say it's better than moment of truth

 

most mainstream hip hop albums nowadays

 

oh shit this too. MoT > HtE. Honestly, MoT is the only album by gang starr I can listen to repeatedly.

 

I think MoT would be considered one of the greatest hiphop albums of all time if they just cut some of the lame tracks in the 2nd half of the album. the album is already 20 tracks, cut it down to like 15, get rid of ny strait talk, my advice 2 you, the rep grows bigger, what im here 4, next time and it'd be one of the greatest albums ever
