How to get out of elo hell

I'm currently stuck in elo hell and I'm simply wondering what you guys have done to improve your gameplay and how you got out of elo hell.

I've been playing since the summer and I feel like I've improved a lot however now I'm at a point where I'm not climbing past silver 2 and it's pretty frustrating.

How to get out of elo hell

    1. Learn how to lose lane without dying a million times. XP>CS almost. I'd rather be 40 cs down and 0-0 then 0-4 and 5 cs down.(don't lose half your health for 1 melee minion just take the xp.) Adding to this never feel your safe under a tower. Too many times i see a feeding bot lane be like "fuck this jungler i'm even getting dove under tower how am i supposed to play saffe?) nahhhhhh bro you just had 200 health and was greedy for a lil more farm ofc the mid and jungler going to come gang bang you your easy gold. That's not your junglers fault. Losing your lane period isn't your junglers fault that's all on you fam, so act like it. (see point 3 if you feel you get camped.)

    2. Learn how to get carried. If your mid lanes carrying quit trying to 1v1 the whole world and group ya dingus. It's maybe not a great time to split push either peel for that mfer with all your heart.(you don't need to be the hero of every game.)

3.Watch your map. There's no such thing as getting "camped" your just an easy fucking target.

    4. be nice. That feeding top lane doesn't need his errors pointed out every time he dies. He probably already knows. Even things like "yo play safe" or "you got this it's ok." will tilt him or make him prissy with you. Just keep your mouth shut. Throw a 4 man gank his way or some shit then after be like "fuck that other top laner he's a chode."

    5. If you think the teams to deep leave. Nothings worst then a guy whos pinging careful like a mfer and typing to back off but then he's the first to die. Lead your team if you think it's dangerous just bounce back to base don't say anything just bounce. At least you'll be one less death fed. Maybe next time when they see you just bail they'll be like "fuck he was right last time i'm bailing too." then that's 2 deaths not fed.

Bonus point: CONFIRM YOUR KILLS. Can't stress this enough too many times i see people chasing 2 people 1's so close to dying so they focus the other guy to be greedy and try to get both kills, but end up getting 0. When all 3 could banged out the one kid and just banged out the next kid ezpz. Don't try to be efficient or fancy or some shit just do the bare minimums to get the kills. This includes the jungler and the support. LIKE why the fuck did you let that guy get away i don't give a fuck about you getting the kill as long as it's confirmed.

AND if your the type who gives the support and jungler shit for confirming kills /neck yourself cause your part of the problem.

also try to pick something your team needs teams if your team needs ap try to play a champ that dose more ap damage or vs versa for ad . if your team needs a tank play a tank champ you know how to play, being able to effectively fill in what your team lacks and know how to play the champ you fill it with can help your teams late game fighting so much

if your team is retarded, split push to win, that way you can at least get 2 or 3 people on you and allow your team to all split mid (because thats what usually happened in silver), and also take note of their mistakes and punish them for it, if they happen to grab a cs and you can poke them, by all means do it.

thinking about having fun, risking the loss of lp, and having to start over is a worry a lot of people can't just stop thinking about. So this won't apply to everyone.

I think something that's easy to work on (albeit easier said than done) is how to keep a positive outlook and not let things tilt you.

If you don't let that first blood "get you down" the outcome of the game could be drastically different.

Also, I think accepting that climbing is a grind is really important as well. You're not going to win 100% of your games. If you win 5 out of 10 you'll climb. If you lose 9 games in a row, know if you play enough it will average out. Think long term, and not short term.

If you wanted to get really serious, you could start to log each of your ranked games. Take note of everything and really reflect on what you could have done better. Look at op.gg or riot games and see your deaths, wards placed, CS etc. Focus on one thing that you could have improved and honestly try to focus on that the next game you play.

Hate to break it to you, but there is no such thing as ELO hell, you're just at an ELO where you're not good enough to consistently carry games. This means you're at or around the ELO that you should be.

Tips to climb include: staying positive, roam and help your team off you winning your lane, take your turret early, pressure objectives instead of kills, learn wave control, etc.

There is no ELO HELL. ELO HELL is an excuse. If you can't climb, you aren't good enough, it's as simple as that. Don't blame your teams, blame yourself. Playback the games you've lost and look for YOUR mistakes, look for areas in your game where YOU can improve, what could you have done differently that may have swayed the flow of the game in your favour?

I used to believe in ELO HELL too, until I watched a gbay99 video and realized the only reason I was stuck was because I sucked. From that moment on I started learning and improving. Now I'm Diamond II and am still improving. Afterall, there's no excuse for being stuck in "Elo hell" if a smurf can come down and win a game 1v5 in Silver with ease, why can't you do the same? Because you aren't skilled enough, but you can be, so start learning.

I highlighted in bold what I personally would say is a HUGE pointer if you take anything away from this let it be this tip, all are exceptional and should be put into play however.

I disagree with the others. ELO hell is real. It doesn't mean it's not possible or anything, it just means you're required to put the team on your back over and over and that's hell.

So with that in mind the strategies I've come up with in past seasons is to play snowball champs that CAN CARRY.

"You're not good enough if you can't carry 4 idiot down-syndromes as a support or a flat tank" is downright idiotic. Those are legitimate roles and you are gonna have a hellish time carrying games like that. For example, if you land every spell and serve up their entire team on a silver platter as support and your team is too dumb to capitalize there's nothing you can do, no way to carry.

But if you play champs that can snowball and allow you to carry then you have a better shot. I used to do Riven, Akali, Kha'Zix, etc.

With the meta getting more and more team oriented, it's even less fun trying to get out of ELO hell. I grinded it out at about the same rate last season as I started to this season. Got from I think Silver IV placement to Plat II solo. And I know I could easily grind it out again if I wanted to/had the time, but it's not fun to deal with garbage.

As far as the pros ranking up quicker, all the ones I see smurf are playing carry champs most of the time till they get out of ELO hell. Obviously you'll find exceptions of some of their good games on YT with non-carries, but that's not anywhere near the majority.

if you know how2carry with a champion, play him/her

don't feed, if you're on tilt, get outta the house or fap to release your inner anniedemons

ward, ping when laners are missing

be effective, learn2support, it's so much easier to climb being a supp than any other lane in my exp.

    have fun. take breaks.

Practice, note your mistakes and dont do them again. Everyone in every elo makes mistakes.. everytime you die it's because you and just you have underestimated your opponent. What differentiates good players from bad players is mainly the amount of mistakes you make

Find what you like doing whether it be adc, support, mid, or whatever and just spam games on a couple of champions and eventually you'll get better :)!

All of your advice was on point except for this one. They are not going to think "fuck he was right last time I'm bailing too". That will never go through someone's mind. They are going to rage at him for not being with the team, it lowers morale, and put a lot of "what if" into the minds of his teammates.

If he goes in with his team, they have a higher chance of succeeding and might get an extra kill. Most low elo players Bronze-Gold don't have the proper instincts to understand when you should be pulling out. Including the person, that feels that he should just pull out. Work with the team and grow synchronization instead of dividing the team lowering morale and throwing away opportunities.
