Can anyone help me with a problem? I can pay.

Recently when playing league, the game closes and my computer freezes and crashes. Initially I thought it was an issue with my drivers, so I updated (this is was the support on the website said to do). It worked properly for 1 game. The next game I played I got 5 minutes in and I get the crash again.


The crash makes my screen(s) go black for 2 seconds, they then turn a solid color. I can still hear the people I'm talking to - but I'm forced to shut down my computer manually with the button on the tower.

Has anyone had this issue before? Can anyone help? I want to play league but I don't want to fry my computer.

My computer specs:
16 GB Ram
i7-5820k CPU
GeForce GTX 970 GPU

My NVIDIA driver is up to date (364.51).

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I think your CPU may be overheating.
Do you have a cooler?

 

Yes I have a liquid cooler. My CPU has plenty breathing room and my usage doesn't near 100%. I strongly believe it is a software issue.

I had something extremely similar happen to me. I'd get very low fps and then after five minutes or so in game, my screen would have weird graphic glitches like black bar across my screen. I tried what you did and eventually I just a clean install of league and my drivers(delete all of your graphic drivers old and new) and it went away. Also try to play with the settings when you do this, might find your problem.

 

Thanks for the input. I would like to play around with it but I'm a little too careful and way too cautious.

 

Try repairing your client, if that doesn't work do a fresh install.
I used to have an issue where my client would explode and bugsplat like 5 times a game

are you setting the game to high priority within your settings and overclocking your cpu?

 

No I have not changed the priority within Task Manager. Also my cpu isn't overclocked.

 

I've repaired and it still crashes. Still need this answered

Having the same problem, was about to install drivers...

It flickers like crazy, the cursor picture is corrupted and after a while it just freezes with a random solid color on the whole screen (sometimes even has white lines going through it)

Only got it today, and it only happens when league of legends is running. I'm far too lazy to repair or do a fresh install, not sure how I'll proceed.

 

Did both of those to no avail. Let me know if you find a fix please; still searching for answers.

I had this problem around 2 weeks ago but it fixed itself when I restarted my computer, hopefully you get this solved and can play Ezreal GL

 

Uninstall and remove the folder for the game. Reinstall and you should be fine. This is most definitely a software issue.

 

Agree 100% . A client repair might work but to prevent this issue in the future uninstall and delete all files/folders pertaining to league.

 

I uninstalled already. Does that remove the folder? I've already done that if so.

 

Uninstall and delete all previous LoL folders pertaining to downloads.

Are you on a Mac?
