Bot Ban Rates as of 2016

Simply put, how long did it take for your account to get banned for botting in RS3? Hours? Days? Weeks? In my experience, I was banned six days after botting.

 

depends on a lot of factors so its impossible to say, some accounts get banned quicker and some it takes longer but if you keep botting i can guarantee that they will get banned at some point if you decide to stop at a certain level you might be fine.

 

Would it also depend on which macro software is used over and over?

 

It depends on script you're using and other factors, I had a f2p woodcutting bot that got banned within 2 hours but I had another account that went from 20-64 woodcutting and is yet to be banned. Both accounts are using different scripts and I'm pretty sure f2p worlds are monitored a lot more

 

Never imagined that f2p would be monitored more, always thought it would be the other way around. Anyways, I always wanted to conduct some sort of survey to see if there might be some pattern as it seems that accounts detected for botting get banned either instantly, within hours or within a few days up to a week.

 

anything but a private script- 1 hour to 3 days.

 

F2P, fresh account, straight botting woodcutting all the way to 77, then I got ban hammered, only took a day.
edit:Was using free OSBot with a free script also.

Also keep in mind that Jagex has openly admitted that they *usually* ban you a few days after they catch you. This means that if you're banned 3-4 days in, they likely caught you from day 1.

 

Yes, that is true that they sometimes delay bans to make sure botmakers can not pinpoint how they were caught. Based on what I've observed thus far, if you were detected via BotWatch or Player Reports and your ban is going to be delayed, it would be delayed by either a few days up to a week.

 

Exactly, trust me i'm an oldschool botter since 06 and I've surrendered until somthing new and great comes along to make it worth it again.

 

WHile botting to 50 rc, I logged out at 34, logged back in 1 hour later and was banned. It depends, but Jagex are very efficient and if you are reported by players its much quicker ban rate.
