Any risk in Recovery Test

Some guy wants to recov test my account. Pros cons?

 

Pros: You sell your account easier
Cons: They aren't really effective, someone has some of your information.

 

Pros: easier to sell the account,
Cons: If you're not using a middleman you're risking your account.

In short: Get a middleman to hold the cash, once the recovery test is done he can't retract the deal. Find a way to prove that the recovery test was successful incase he lies and says it wasn't (meaning he has perma access to ur acc)

 

you are risking your acc if no MM like congs said, cons is they will have your info if you are okay with that.

 

A recovery test doesn't do a whole lot for the buyer. The seller has enough information to recover it at any point anyway.

 

pros: absolutely fuck all. Literally absolutely nothing. Only thing that affects account recovery is creation ip. Even if you say you moved houses or some bs the second the og owner recovers the account to his ip your locked out of that account for good.

People tend to forget you can cry to admins and mods from jagex on twitter and if you prove your the og owner you can get it back instantly. Recovery forms aren't even the best way to recover your own account ffs. Literally can't stress this enough.


cons:can have your account locked instantly. Costs money which is a total money sink. Greed is strong here. Doesn't make your account easier to sell just makes you seem like a scummy when you tell people they can recover your account, Which they will never be able to uness they get on your creation ip some how.

the recovery wont be successful unless he is on your ip and does it, when I moved countries and forgot my password I emailed them and it was a huge hassle that took several weeks, even sent them ID's and my visa to prove that I actually had moved
