Runescape Hypocrisy, let the Wildfire Spread

Today I realized, Jagex basically sells runescape gold by selling those treasure chest keys that you get daily. I also have information that mods all the way up to Edgar himself (creator of runescape game) that they could use automated bots to handle their business.


Jagex is negligent and this hypocrisy could be the demise of runescape, or a possible deal lol. Let us spread this wild fire across every forum that you are apart of. Even Sythe should have this bannered. Let us spam the spam forums with runescape hypocrisy and let us blow up the forums with accusations of hypocritical disrespect. For BANNING and PUNISHING those who buy/sell RUNESCAPE GOLD when they SELL RUNESCAPE GOLD. All those people banned. All this fire.

Throughout us spreading this word of hypocrisy keep it away from the runescape forums. They all go into denial about disrespectful hypocrisy.

 

It's like trying to fight the government, they make the rules and the laws, it's their game lol. Of course there is lots of hypocrisy, the damn bonds are literally buying gold lmao

 

This isn't news at all lol, ever since squeal of fortune was introduced in 2012 people were able to purchase extra spins for a go at the various items/xp boosters/and the fabled 200m. As for bonds, I personally think they were a great way for the company to stay in business as a bond means more than just membership, so someone may purchase a bond with cash for that cosmetic override they want.

As for the pay to win logic around this kinda stuff...don't use the treasure hunter. On top of that you have to spend an absurd amount of money (I believe it was around 4,000) to get 99's in your skills from xp lamps.

These small transactions are what keeps Jagex operating, I don't understand why we would complain about that. Third party trading being against the rules seems completely reasonable when they want to control the marketplace of the game that they created. Doesn't seem like that difficult of a concept, but people are much more inclined to "burn the witch" than they are to use reason.

 

Unfortunately every large game has done this in some way or another. Just part of the process of making more money.

- Bonds. Treasure hunter is an awful way to get money in the game, but bonds can be sold instantly to the grand exchange. I take it you don't play RuneScape at all if you don't know about these.
- It's not hypocritical in any way, they are trying to protect their income and make sure all the money that was to be spent on rsgp goes to them instead of gold sellers on other websites.
