This is outdated and might aswell be removed.

Over 80-90% of cards sold are now through gyft or some other online platform such as reddit, etc.

I'd say 1/50 cards are actually physical, the rest are virtual.

Might aswell scrap it, or edit it to say physical cards only.

Rsg0d just locked a thread linking that sticky when in the title the guy specifically stated "egift cards" which don't have valid pictures.

Digital or physical, pictures are required.
Why would we remove that rule?

How do you suggest showing pictures of virtual cards?

I'm somebodys whos been in that market back when it was a small group of people there.

Over 80% of my customers selling couldn't provide pictures if they wanted to.

Most of these cards are bought via debit/credit and emailed us the code or themselves, or their obtained via swagbucks or gyft or any of the other giftcard platforms,or other methods.

It's literally impossible to show images of that, as most of the time the sellers themselves never see or handle the actual cards.

Keep it there if you want to, I'm just telling you, your wasting ur time by doing so and locking threads when its impossible to show the cards is just dumb.

Would the code not be emailed to them in an official email which they just censor majority of the code?

This is possible however in my experience most sellers typically just ask for my email to send the code to.

On gyft/amazon etc they just ask for an email to send the code to and boom "so and so just sent you a giftcard worth $x click here to redeem it now"!

Most sellers typically don't handle such codes themselves IN MY EXPIERENCE, and since amazon is the primary payment method for certain activity's the owner typically never handles the code themselves.

I personally only see requiring pictures as somethings that's typically impossible and just discourages the market in that section.

It's typically easier for every party to just have the codes emailed to the buyer(Me) directly to avoid issues such as "it's already been used/spent" etc.

So to answer ur question yes it would be possible, but by forcing users to email it to themselves instead of us u open a potential security issue as it'd be impossible to track who really spent the card.

I personally would rather just see it removed since virtual cards most of the time cant be shown & by keeping it ur just adding additional risk for both parties for no other reason than to provide an image.

It's a real pain when somebody doesn't email me the code and then I go to redeem it and it says its already been used then I get accused of spending the card or whatever, and it just becomes a real pain in the ass, by them not actually having the code themselves, you avoid the problem hence making it impossible to provide said picture.

I think it's fine the way it is, people usually provide proof for virtual cards if you ask them to anyway. Helps weed out the scammers.

That's fine, I just thought man would it be a pain to sell a virtual code if u were selling it via email or something.

8/10 people probably do it that way and It'd be really disappointing to me personally if I saw a mod lock my threads everytime when It's not even possible for me to provide that proof.

Seems to violate sythes free market to me personally since ur being forced to potentially provide something that might not be possible but I can see both sides of it so its up to staff.
