Scammed Through Paypal HELP

I got scammed through paypal. The seller told me to send the money as friends and family and he scammed me. The scammer was ONLYGP and got banned now. What I want to ask is, if there is any way I can refund this? I know the only solution is to call PayPal support, but what do I say. Do I tell them the truth or do I tell them that someone else used my PayPal account?

I think your best bet would be to not lie about what happened, as they can see who accessed your Paypal account.

If you paid via your bank/credit card through Paypal, you can phone them and explain what happened, and they should be able to retrieve your money without an issue.

 

I paid through my paypal balance though.

 

Id recommend calling paypal support and explain it, it would.be your best chance

 

They were not able to help me because it was sent through friends and family.

 

If you tell them it was for a digital good that was meant to be delivered electronically and file it as an item not received dispute they'll deny your dispute.

 

File a chargeback, and say that it was for an item that was not received, but like what the poster above said you can't mention it was for digital goods.
