Question about clans..

Hey guys, I've been an RS player for 13-14 years off and on and one thing I've never even looked into is clans. Can anyone tell me the real benefit to it? I'm not talking about all the merching/flipping clans out there I know what those are about. But what would be a big benefit to me joining a clan I'm guessing they just boss in groups to make money? Is there anything other than that? If not, would it profit me more than farming bosses myself?

 

I enjoy being in a clan because there are always people to talk to and congratulate each other on their accomplishments. It makes the game more playable IMO.

 

I mean whats the point of an mmo if you can't enjoy it with others? It doesn't have to be a "clan" thing

 

Depends what clans you're talking about? PVM

They boss together and are sort of a "community" on their own.

PVP clans:

People to pvp with and again, sort of a community.

I'm in a F2P PvP clan myself and I really enjoy their community.
They're all really nice guys and we've shared some great moments

That's pretty much right on, it depends what kind of clan your looking for. PVP clanning is loads of fun

Clans have multiple purposes depending on the one you've joined. If its PVM, they share loots and go on trips together. If it's merching, they merch stuff with you.

 

I think it's about belonging to a community within the game. Instant friends to talk with while grinding.
