I purchased the rsn GA from this member: http://www.sythe.org/members/369655-effigycraft.html

I cant find the names market thread because I havent been given access to my account even though Ive been unbanned for several days....

Explanation of trade: Agreed to a price and purchased the rsn for 32m 07. During the transfer the rsn was sniped.

    Link to report: http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer-archive/1933394-gun-rsn-snipe-account-sale.html

Early today Dunworry contacted me about the name being resold on sythe. I immediately wanted him to set up a counter scam so I could receive my name back. He refused saying the name was bought legitimately.

Jim steals mikes bike- Jim turns around and sells the bike to chris- chris gets caught by Jim with his bike- Jim calls police and the bike is returned to Jim. Stolen property is always returned to the rightful owner. The rsn belonged to me and needs to be returned. Dunworry refused to help return the name to me. "this is how the rsn market works, it's unfortunate."

The user who has control of the name: http://www.sythe.org/members/465616-lemonandting.html
99% a vader who just happens to purchase my stolen name and create a sythe account a few days later? Either he sniped the rsn or bought stolen property. The rsn had been reported on sythe and was known to be stolen. He must provide proof of purchasing the RSN as well.

Basically, here was my two cents:

I have yet to establish whether the sale was legitimate. I was provided meager proof buy the buyer (but that's just it, meager). Basically what I was telling Hattez was this: If the name was legitimately purchased, and the buyer bought the name without knowing that the name was sniped, then the name should not have to be refunded. My logic is as follows:

Should a goldseller unknowingly buy gold that was scammed or stolen, then the goldseller is not held responsible to refund that gold. In my eyes, the same principle applies here. While it's not the best situation, as I told Hattez, the name sales market is a horrible one. However, if (emphasis on the if) the buyer did indeed buy the name without knowledge that the name is sniped, then my opinion is that it does not need to be returned.

The second portion I that drew my conclusion from was previous name sales incidences. It is, sadly, common to see names sniped in the name sales market. Snipers will often find threads of people buying names, add their skypes, and sell their names that they had sniped awhile back. With so many names in the market, it is practically impossible to keep track of every name. So to see a name seller with a name that had previously been sniped at some point happens all the time. When a name is in question of being sniped or owned by a sniper, and the user in question provides proof of the name being purchased, then it is allowed to be sold in the market. I see this case no different.

If anyone else would like to give their opinion, please do.

After viewing the evidence of the purchase I have to conclude that the current owner is not the one who sniped your name Hattez, so it wouldn't be right to take the name from him
