When should I be concerned about possible scam?

I purchased 1b in gold today. The seller is claiming they haven't received their Skrill payment (even though they initially claimed they did receive the email confirmation that it was delivered). However, my Skrill transaction history shows it was delivered. I called Skrill to confirm the payment was received (it was) and was given an email to confirm it was received.

I did not have a Sythe account until now. Obviously I should have done more research as I see in order to have a "valid" ban a pm must occur between both parties. However, I have our entire Skype conversation documented.

He has not answered me on Skype for over three hours now. When should I get concerned that I'm getting scammed?

I think it's fair to presume you've been scammed. Any legitimate gold seller will give you your gold literally 2 minuntes after they've confirmed with you that the payment has been sent through. May I ask who you traded with? Was it RSPS/07/RS3 gold? Gold Sellers such as Probemas who are legitimate will ask you for Government Issued ID as well as for you to forward the receipt of payment to their email, if he hasn't done any of this than the chances are you've been scammed and he's simply ignored you and run off.

There are many legit Sythe gold traders, but I advise you research beforehand. Check their vouches to see how many trades they've successfully completed, as well as customer feedback.

You should also always double check the Skype IDs to match sure they match; there are a ton of people pretending to be people with rep to try and snipe sales and run off.

I traded with JohnRSSmith for Rs3 gold. He did ask for my ID, so I did provide him with that. I did double, triple check the Skype name and am positive I have the right person. The names match up EXACTLY.

I did check his vouches. He has 40 of them. Only one large trade (1b Rs3) previously, but he seemed honest enough and had happy customers.

May be an imposter but maybe not. You should have asked to do the trade in incements of 200M-250M, he has only 1 big trade where he does 1B and that was done in increments also. Not to mention, that trade was with a much LARGER RWTer who has a lot more reputation that he does. He also went first in that trade. Most of his other vouches are small, like his big trades are like 100M-250M.

You should file a report with any proof that you can conjure up because a RWTer would not leave you hanging for 3 hours+ after a large trade.

By the way, the Skype you contacted was: JohnRSSmith // Right? If it doesn't match this Skype, you were scammed by an imposter.

Yes, that is exactly the Skype name that I have added. I am 100% sure it is not an imposter.

Do you have any proof of the scam? You should report it now. I'm 100% sure if he was legit he'd have paid by now, maybe large purchases take longer to purhcase but it's been 4-5 hours now and still no word. He would've atleast given you a warning regarding a possible delay. File the report, if anything Sythe Staff may contact him and ask him to refund you.

Yes, I've already complied an Imgur album, but I'm hoping he just fell asleep or something. :\

Doubt it, a legitimate real world trader would not fall asleep on a $310 trade. You should file the report ASAP, if he's legitimate he'll clear up the situation with the Staff team here on Sythe and then hand you the gold you ordered.

I can say confidently that no legitimate real word trading business would take 7 hours to deliver your gold, it should be almost instant after purchase. Every time I've purchased gold off of Probemas (50M-150M 07) the gold is delivered 5-10 minutes after I've made payment and sent them all the necessary documents they require. Not once have I dealt with a RWTer and had to wait over an hour for them to comply.

I can confirm that Pure did MM for us, and I did receive the 1b from John.

Thank you to both of them!
