Kanye TLOP

Tracklist has been updated once again to 17 tracks now and is set to release later today supposedly according to Kanye.

I've never been so hyped for an album before, looking forward to it.

If they proceed with the current album artwork however (highly doubt it but whatever) then I'll probably go with this as an alternate cover

 

Honestly I don't like kanye as a person. He's so full of himself and just... so extra. Don't get me wrong though, the man makes incredible music.

I'm excited for the release (should be out already lol)

 

Sorry, but this just sounds like the average "follow the hype" kind of type. Whats wrong with somebody being full of him self? He's creative, has one of the best sounds in the whole MUSIC game. Yes, music game. I mean look at John Lennon, he was a douchebag too. Beat up women and abandoned his kid. You don't see anyone calling him out, do you? And Kanye is (from the outside) taking really good care of his family. So he is doing something right.

Doesn't necessarily mean I'm following a hype. Doesn't mean I like the shoes and nor does it mean I want them. If you can give me one reason as to why Kanye West is worse than John Lennon I'll accept my loss. However, you're just riding all the haters, hating on someone for no reason what-so-ever. Just because someone has an ego, doesn't mean they're a douchebag smh.

 

I never really got in to kanye but once this album drops I'll start listening to him more if I like it. Pretty excited for it though.

Considering he's currently tied with Jay Z for most grammys as a rap artist at 21 you could say he's pretty well liked, odds are some of his stuff will resonate

Keen to see your impressions though. Supposedly he's going to be "fixing" wolves, who knows if that's just fixing the mastering or including Sia & Vic again. ultralight beam was dope, 2nd and 3rd fell off a bit. famous is pretty shit lyrically but a nice beat, that's where i'm at atm

 

Damn, my friend and I have been creaming ourselves nearly over the cudi feature, sounds so smooth. Hard being a stan for cudi then getting hit with speeding bullet 2 heaven.

Hadn't heard of desiigner (seems to be the latest GOOD Music signee) but thought he did well for himself. Future or Travis would have killed it too.

 

I like ultralight beam, just not a fan of the clashing of different sounds, not really my style. I like the second half of TLOP a lot more. My favorite song is Real Friends. I think it encompasses my favorite Kanye (808). Father stretch my hands is dope too.

I think he mentions his dick on every song lol, the lyrics are kinda iffy, the sounds towards the second half of the album are really good. It's like a bum driving a lambo, it just doesn't make sense.

I'd give this album a 7/10

It didn't live up to the hype it got, at least to me. I think this all has to do in part with Kanye having not much to write about, so it sounds like he freestyles on every track.

I simply can't respect Kanye or listen to his music. It was mentioned earlier but there is premise for hating him and thinking he is full of himself. The dude is undoubtedly creative and his music resonates well with modern culture but he's a child. Nothing about him is sane or likeable in my eyes at least.

the cudi feat really strongly reinforces why Cudi needs to get back on GOOD, he fucking sucks otherwise

 

I've been listening to it for a week now. I'd say its top notch but not 'god tier'

 

A description I've heard I think is pretty accurate is that Kanye's no longer pushing the limits and boundaries like he did with CD (and to an extent MBDTF), and TLOP is just an album within the realm of what he knows he can do and what he can do well.
