Start tips for botting on OSRS!

Hey everyone, these are just tips I've accumulated while botting on OldSchool Runescape. Botting on Osrs is waaaay different than botting pre-EoC. You could literally 24/7 accounts back in the day; this is no longer the case. Without anymore introduction here's some things to keep in mind while botting - maybe leave some tips for me!

-Weekends are the safest time to bot, they aren't in the office.
-Thursdays from 3 AM - 6 PM (EST) is danger time! These are the days of updates and I've been banned on 10+ accounts on 2 Thursdays this year!
-Hide your ip. To avoid chain bans make sure each account has a separate ip!
-Private scripts are the way to go; premium just doesn't cut it anymore.

Try using the looking glass feature with some abcv2 scripts on a legit played acc with decent stats/qp if ur not suicide botting.

 

Great information, wasn't even aware of the updates usually happening at that time/day. Will pay attention to that heavy

 

One really overlooked thing... Don't put all of your eggs into one basket. If you're going to farm use multiple methods, that way if a few get hit it doesn't kill all of your revenue. Chances are all bots in one niche will go down at once, that's just how it works. Use your head, don't do things a human wouldn't do. You can't physically fish for 12 hours straight or chop the same trees. If possible, build your bots so that they can utilize different scripts so you can alternate between tasks. Find out what your time zone is in comparison to Jagex working hours, bot outside of them. The week is just as safe as the weekend outside working hours. Best of luck.

 

Thanks for the tips, I know weekends are bad times to bot and I also heard that nighttime for eastern is a bad time because that's the time that Jagex is on.
