Don't have a photo, but a 2010 Mazda 3. Absolutely love it, except around this time of the year in the snow / ice.

 

2004 Mazda 6 v6 manual and currently awaiting the arrival of my 1993 LHD rx7 from Alberta. Unfortunately due to the distance, the weather and finances it needs to stay there for the winter

 

Same wheels, obvs stock photo. Also has a spoiler on the back. I regret buying this car, the 2012 and 13 automatic transmissions were a new model and completely faulty, and there's no replacing it without paying thousands, so fuck it... :/

That makes 2 of us I have never seen it in person yet. I purchased it in October.

I'm in the 3 pedal gang for all my cars. I also own a beater beater truck for fishing and hunting. The mazda 6 is manual and actually pretty fun but I can't wait to get into trouble with the rx7.

 

Driving is 100% more fun with the manual transmission. I bet the rx7 will be a bunch of fun

Did you buy it from a JDM dealer or import it from overseas? Would love more details on the car man.

 

It's actually an NA car super rare due to the year. Alberta had a ton of rich young people due to the booming oil market. As my future career as a chemical engineer is no longer going to be in Alberta due to the crashing oil prices I figured I may as well benefit somehow from the bad economy so I started looking for an rx7 to buy from there. And sure enough a great deal popped up from someone a little older than me who got laid off after buying the car. It's got 9k kms on a rebuilt engine, single turbo (more reliable than the sequential twins) making around 370 on a pretty safe tune. Plans for the car are first receiving it, full paint correction. From there I'll likely upgrade the oil cooler, the fuel pump. Depending how the car is running after that I'll get more into making the perfect rx7 with feed fenders, work meister rims (gloss black , gold lip), 99 spec wing and front bumper. That's long term though

What is happening with the oil prices right now happens every 7-9 years, its an endless cycle and always be prepared for it. As a chemical engineer you'll still have a job, if you arent happy with that go offshore.
