Free mining guide (with Pictures)

This guide is all about leveling up in mining, one of the best skills in the game, and not on how to make money off of it. This guide was made off information through my own experiences.

v2-added ore amounts between levels

1-21

There are two places that you can choose here the best being the copper southeast of varrock, you can keep the ore if you want but i suggest dropping it




but u find that spot is crowded if your an f2p so u can also mine tin southwest of varrock again you can keep the ore if you want but i suggest dropping it



to get to level 21 you need to mine 287 tin or copper

21-60
this is what you will get most of your experience on the rest of your mining career, iron, you can bank the iron if you want but if you are trying to get your level up dropping you ores is the best option

There are many options but if you an f2p theres only a couple

First get you the best pick you can get and head back where you were mining copper at and mine these rocks



if your an f2p this spot is always crowded so another spot is where you were mining tin at



if you are a member the best powermining spot is east of ardouge



mine the rocks in that order then drop them and start over the rocks respawn as soon as your done dropping them

to get to level 60 from 21 takes 7628 iron ores
60-70

if want to level up keep mining where your mining at but if you want coal and mithril head over to the mining guild in falador

60 to 70 takes 13,254 irone ores
or 9,278 coal ores

70-85

if you not a member keep mining where your mining but if your a member there is a little better option to powermine at level 70

south of the bandit camp is a quarry filled with granite rocks to mine, though u only have to be level 45 to mine it, you can't mine it that fast till around level 70. to get there get some waterskins and desert robes and head south of shantay pass and hop on a magic carpet towards the camp and then head south. the best place to mine in the quarry is here.



mine them in that order and drop them

70-85 takes 72,028 iron ores
or 50,420 coal ores
or around 42,500 granite

85-99

if your goin for 99 keep powermining but if you want some runite and some money the mine runite. if your and f2p mine at the two rocks in the wilderness but if your a member mine here in the hereos guild



85-99 takes 279,310 iron ores
or 195,517 coal ores
or around 163,000 granite

well maybe because thats the order you should mine the ores in

none of the guide was reworded from any other guide

 

7/10, btw i found the best way to powermine granite is get two member accounts, load one up with waterskins, then drop about 4-5 skins for your other account at a time, works great!
