I've seen a lot of people suggest quite drastic measures. What you need to think about is what you're currently consuming each day as well as how much exercise you're doing per day.

Don't just all of a sudden go from eating very unhealthy to eating nothing but healthy. That is going to be bad for you in the long run. This is because when you eventually get very grumpy/unmotivated you will binge out on bad food. You need to slowly decrease what you've been consuming.

You need to build up the amount of exercise you do a day as well, this doesn't have to be join a gym and spend three hours a day there. This could be go for a 30 minute walk, or play a sport leisurely. You'll be surprised how quick the time can go when you get into it.

tl:dr Don't significantly change what you're doing over the course of one day, slowly let your body adjust to change and you'll end off much better in the long run.

This this this 100000000x. Rome wasn't built in a day and your body needs time to adapt. Don't underestimate the power of compounding and patience. Something like taking a nice walk right before bed or first thing in the morning will improve your life in more ways than one. Judging on the fact that you're making this post I doubt you'd be comfortable getting a gym membership and spending time there anyways. After your muscles gain some endurance and get used to being active there are plenty of body weight at home exercises that you can do. Listen to your body and don't exceed your limits. Set goals and reach them, reward yourself by spending time on the computer. Nobody said you can't continue doing that, just balance out reward time with personal growth time.

Guilty of this, I just started drinking green tea(the real ones with the tea leaves), heard it helps with digestion and what not, especially when your body is in the same position all day after eating
