    Question on flipping/merching

Hey guys, so I had a quick question on flipping and was hoping someone could give me advice..

Say I want to flip higher priced items like: AGS, Bandos, 3rd age etc.. How do you guys find the margins on those kinds of items? I've heard OS budding has a ge section that supposedly tells "buy/sell prices" for items but I do not believe that is completely accurate half the time.. Maybe it is. Also I know some people buy 5% over and sell 5% under, but when you start flipping items that are worth 40M+, doing that simple buy and sell under could cost you anywhere up to 1M+ loss..

So with that being said, when flipping those higher priced items, is it just a guessing game? Analyzing the graphs or OS buddy prices and putting in offers close to it? Just need some help, so figured I'd ask see what you guys had to say :).

    Question on flipping/merching

Yeah you analyze the graphs and guess what the margins are. If the item isn't buying then you might have to buy it for a bit more. Btw is the grand exchange thing on OSBuddy working for you? Mine hasn't been for about a week now.

    Question on flipping/merching

Alright man and then what about selling it? Just whatever price that makes profit haha? And I haven't used in a couple weeks, when I was using it, it wasn't working well and sometimes it wouldn't even show item buy/sell price

    Question on flipping/merching

The more you flip/merch, the more you start to learn the margins on items. You'll learn that on average, AGS has a flip margin of 1.2m (random number) so you'll be able to find the buy and sell price from one of those prices alone.

    Question on flipping/merching

Hmm alright, well I guess practice makes perfect. Hopefully I don't lose too much trying to get it down haha. Doing cheaper items is a lot easier but idk seems like the real money comes when you are able to start flipping the more expensive ones.

    Question on flipping/merching

Start out by flipping smaller items, low end GWD items. Start with bandos boots, then move to hilts, swords, ACB's, etc until you get higher and higher.

    Question on flipping/merching

So the OSBuddy "GE" page only works for users who are using OSBuddy. If someone if flipping a higher market priced item they most likely will not be using OSBuddy if they have this knowledge. Be careful when using those graphs as an outline.

    Question on flipping/merching

Marching's practical application is the stock market. Much different from flipping. Flipping you buy and resell quickly.
Marching you buy and keep it until the item(s) rise significantly which you tell from the trends within the ge charts.
Flipping normally consists of buying an expensive item. Marching normally consists of buying bulk of less costly items. If you have the money and patience to sit on 100m worth of items, you can double it in a month through merching.
