    Suggestion to AVOID SCAMS

    Hello

A few days ago i was scammed by some very sneaky scammer. And the ONLY reason i was scammed is, when you forward a message to someone, you can't actually see who forwarded it. INSTEAD, you will see the name of the person, who wrote the forwarded message.

So when i asked this imposter, of a guy named "Bert" from this forum, to send me a pm on Sythe, all he did was forward an old message from the real Bert. Instead of showing the name of the person who forwarded the message (the scammer), it said "Sent by Bert" as if HE was the one who sent it. Which made everything look super legit.

If you're having trouble understanding this, take a look at this post i made after the scam:

    http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer-archive/1922644-got-scammed-rip.html

PS. If you're too lazy to read the whole thread, take a look on my last post on the link above to see the evidence.

    Thank you.

I am sorry to hear that you got scammed but forums are supposed to work this way.

When you get a new private message you can clearly see who sent it.

After opening the message you can clearly see who sent it again:

The quoted text in the PM was probably from Bert in your case but that obviously doesn't mean that the private message was from Bert. Just be more careful next time.

Alright, so you obviously didn't see the screenshots on the other thread that i linked. So i will do you a favor and link them here. These two pictures were forwarded by the scammer, and it looks EXACTLY like it was Bert who sent them. So, either you CAN'T see who forwarded it, or Bert scammed me. I highly doubt the last.

That's not a forwarded message, it's from Bert himself. Someone impostered you and asked Bert to PM you.

Jesus christ, if that's the case, then I'm definitely done trading on this forum. It seems impossible NOT to get scammed then. Also, why didn't Bert, a 1000$+ donor, check if the Skype profile ON THE TOP OF MY PROFILE PAGE, matched the one of the guy who impostered me. >_<

Bert sent you a copy of a live chat conversation and you were talking to him via skype. Always look at the content of the PM when you get one.
