Unorthodox suggestion

How about making it so whenever someone is banned(a self requested ban is excerpt from this) all of their open threads are automatically closed and moved to the archives?

Not sure if we already have something like this

 

This would be helpful in clearing market sections, but what about temporary bans? Would they be recovered when unbanned? Is this even possible?

 

I don't think this is really useful considering that their threads will probably be gone in a day or two in the market as they're overtaken by active bumps of other threads. Also, a lot of off topic discussions continue and stay useful without an OP (some banned OPs have had active threads in the past). There isn't really a use for this.

 

If there wasn't, the archives wouldn't exist.

Besides, it wouldn't take much to implement this in xenforo, no?

 

No support. It doesn't make sense for non market sections and it's unnecessary. It'll cause trouble when people are wrongfully banned.

Yeah this is not going to happen.

As long as bans can be disputed and pardoned this makes no sense. Sticky's and other useful threads would disappear with the user, and it'd be a hassle for staff to find the threads again should it be implemented.
