I'm not sure if this is the right section but considering I'm only active on this part of this forum I'll post it here. I was a player moderator from 2004-2012ish before I quit and was demoted for inactivity. People tend me to pm me questions so I thought why not ask me here and learn some secrets of the trade. Fire away

 

Did you "assist" dice clans against their competition?

 

Don't mean to detract from OP, but I'd be happy to answer questions as well.

I've owned many pmod accounts over the years.

Yes haha, I believe I started that trend tbh

And Dunworry, I knew of sythe since its existence and most of my fellow pmods knew of what sythe was. I lurked for years but for obvious reasons I didn't create an account. However, the money I made from dicing I would sell to in-game players that I assume were sythe members. I think it was pointless of me to waste years helping others and when my good friend who was one of the original pmods was demoted I realized Jagex was heading in the wrong direction. This caused me to finally turn to profit.

And Sighz, I did not know of him, I was most heavily involved in bot busting with my clan that was composed of Jmods, pmods, as well as some players who hoped to be promoted some day. I tried to stay away from the forums because people just sucked Jagex's dick and I hated that, every update they would praise them as if they did something revolutionary like when they removed free trade, but in reality it would be a total waste of time and resources.

 

Gotcha. I respect the morals you held for a long time. I understand if you'd like to keep this private, but I'm just curious as to a rough estimate of the amount of GP you have made from various services whilst a pmod?

 

Only made about 1B. I could of definitely made more. I was never into the money, to be honest I never played the game to the fullest I was too into helping out the community so for me that was all I ever wanted and never even earned a 99 to this date. I was able to buy third-age (was a goal) and I gave away almost 90% in the end before I quit. Also, being a player moderator definitely helped me realize I wanted to help people for a living and pushed me to go to medical school starting in August. So as you can see, as shitty as the game has been, it has definitely had a positive impact on me and a lot of players I believe.

 

Helping people on Runescape translated to helping people with real life health complications? That's a new one haha

 

Obviously not the only thing lol, but it lead to a lot of other experiences.

 

I remember there was/is a pmod section on the official forums, what went on in there?

 

Theres actually a leak if you want to see it, I'm sure you can see for yourself! But basically discussed events, updates, bots, meetings, there used to be a recommendation thread I'm not sure if thats around anymore though. We could also post names of people we suspected were botting. There were some leaks of our bot busting events if you check on google it'll give you an insider look on how its planned and such.

 

I always think the old Pmods are nicer compared to the current one. The current ones are too arrogant. Like Jakey...

 

It is really hard to be promoted nowadays it seems like, but the main things I'd recommend is be actively involved in the community, especially the forums.

 

Ugh I hate the runescape forums. The layout and shit is just something I'm not a fan of.

Also I hear that people usually just go to mod neena cc and help there until they get pmod.

I remember a friend who I played with was really chill, after I stopped playing for some time and came back on, they were pmod and were really stuck up lmao

 

why do jagex make awful updates?

 

Because people give it all this hype and excitement until they actually see the update and realize it fails.
