    Daily tip...
One of the biggest setbacks for casual gym-goers is how self conscious they are. Remember, you are there for yourself, not for the other people there. You are there to better yourself, to be healthier, to look better, to simply be better. Never let what someone else thinks of you put you down, especially if it is about bettering yourself. This applies to all things in life, you have to think "I am a boss, I got this".

TL;DR-Self motivation is key to success.

    Daily Tip...
The most common mistake people make when bench pressing is that they let their elbows flair out past their shoulders when they bring the bar down. This is incorrect form and will cause serious injury to your shoulder, instead position your elbows closer to your sides!

Tbh I think going to the gym is pointless... depends on your goals. If you want abs and to be lean just eat clean

edit: if you want to be huge then yes you need the gym

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read. So many diseases can get be prevented and so many benefits can be gained from going to the gym.

Let me clarify - I don't mean for you to cut out all exercise completely. I'm saying that you don't need to go to the gym to exercise, most exercises can be done at home with just a few pieces of exercise equipment.

Still said like someone who has no idea what they are talking about. Home "fitness" is the equivalent of buying a hot dog and calling it a steak.

Going to a gym is more than just having every single piece of equipment you could ever need for any form of fitness, it's about the environment. Why do people go to the library? To study in an environment catered to studying. You are more prone to study surrounded by those studying. The same can be said for a gym.

Now, I'm not arguing your point, working out at all is much better than doing nothing, I encourage working out at home whether it be doing p90x or insanity or whatever, but don't come into my thread spewing such ignorant comments and not expect to get schooled on by someone very well educated in the field.

+1 Why would you choose hotdog(home fitness) instead of good steak(gym)?Except you have some phobia on steaks
