Started an account, need some tips

Hey guys I started an account yesterday. I did waterfall quest, the grand tree, and moutain daughter. I have 40 range, 50 attack, and 40 strength. I'm trying to get 60 attack as soon as possible, and I'm getting 43 prayer soon. I also have 1 defence ( i don't know if i want to make a pure yet). Anybody have some tips to level attack and strength as fast as possible? Should I do monkey madness for the 30,000 xp? Thanks.

 

Monkey Madness always tends to take me ages, if i was you i would rock crab until 60 attack, and for prayer use dragon bones on gilded alter.

edit: oh wait, i can't get attack xp without getting defense xp in monkey madness? that blows

 

You can choose what you want the xp to be awarded to attk or def.

 

Don't do the xp from mm. It'll get you defence.
Do all of the pre quests and stat reqs for mm/dt/rfd (mith gloves) and it'll get you some attack xp and benefit your pure. I just started playing RS again after years about 3 weeks ago. Shoot me a pm on here and I'll give you my ingame name and we can work together. I'm currently in the process of getting 60 attack at Rock crabs. Just did mm.

 

Just complete the quests first; get desert treasure, mith gloves, do mage arena, etc.

Then go from there if you want to keep it 1 def or not. If you don't claim the MM xp and get barrows gloves.

 

If not going for a pure, try to do as many quests as possible, they give very good starting xp and you need 175(?) for RFD anyway.

 

Make sure to get your attack xp from quests not training.

if you do mm reward trainings even tho you wont choose defence training you still will get 20k xp . and if u planning to get 43 prayer i wont recommend you to stay 1 defence then ..

 

Yeah Monkey Madness is a great quest to do and it doesn't take too long either

 

But then he definitely won't be able to be a pure.

Stick to your goal of being a pure for a while until you're bored of it. Make sure you don't forget about Fight Arena for an easy 12k XP in attack and scorpion catcher for strength.

 

MM be difficult at your level. As always, rock crabs and experiments are good experience and don't hit very high.

 

You should complete tree gnome village and vampire slayer for extra combat exp

 

Get ancient magic and ice blitz >gmaul rush #mainstream

 

I would do all the quest you can right when you start out because thats a great way to get a little extra xp. I suggest getting monkey madness done as soon as possible! Great progress so far and good luck

 

Agreed quest your attack Ididnt and messed up my pure

 

Do the NMZ MTD quests (vampire slayer, tree gnome village, fight arena, mountain daughter, lost city. You can AFK NMZ for some decent EXP that is AFKable.

 

Make sure you finish requirement quests for monkey madness, before you get 60k attack, or you'll end up getting 61

 

Before you start to train your account be sure to get barrows gloves as they greatly increase xp / hr.

 

Just make sure to train combat first, rest all comes easy (questing/pvming/etc)
