How much are you willing to spend for VR?

If it's full sail, like in SAO, any amount of money.
If it's just goggles, maybe like 70$ max.

 

I'm willing to spend no more than $250. I'm sure the price will be higher than that when it comes out, though.

 

$500 depending on content and stability. I actually haven't purchased a PS4 yet because none of the games have really interested me enough to buy it. KH3 and Final fantasy remake are the 2 games that will get me to buy one immediately.

How much do I think it will be though? Seeing how pricey apple products (new iphone/apple watch) was, I would say it would be around $500.

Nothing for the VR tech that currently exists - I'm thinking on waiting on better technology.

My limit is probably around $2k, but realisticially I'm probably going to spend closer to 1-1.2k for a good graphics card + htc vive/oculus

The Dk2 fascinated me, can't wait the consumer verison with hand controllers.. I personally couldn't wait for 2nd generation hmds xD

I'd pay about $400 tops. Anything more IMO is just too much.

 

Looking at all these posts, people either don't really care to buy anything that's really VR, or are incredibly optimistic about the price.

If you want Oculus Rift, you're going to be spending likely $400-500 for the headset and $1000 if you want a pre-built laptop being offered (significantly less if you build your own rig/buy an older rig.) Oculus stated that it should be expected to cost about $1,500 for a full setup (including the computer & the Rift.)

Playstation VR is going to cost "roughly the price of a console" so it'll be in the $300-500 range, most things I've read have placed it around $350-400. This of course is on top of a PS4, but is still a cheaper option than Oculus.

So yeah, people wanting to only pay $300; you're not going to be using VR this generation, or at least not the first few years of it.

Not a fan of 3D/IMAX movies so I'd have to say around $200. I definitely wanna at least try it with the original slender man game at least once.

 

About $200. Mainly because ahead of time I don't feel it would be enjoyable for me, but I could be wrong so i'd take the risk.
