[Discussion] Star Wars: Force Awakens

Im posting from the theater right now. Camping as if it was Black Friday!

I'm not really into the whole other galaxy shit. Only movie like that that was decent wa Interstellar and I fell asleep through that anyways lol. I was tired tough, was genuinely a good movie.

I'm not a big Sci-Fi guy but I love the Star Wars movies. There's a enough other stuff to keep my entertained. Some with the current movie, definitely worth the watch.

 

I heard there was a certain order to watch them in or something and that watching them from the beginning was a mistake; can you put em in order for me? I'll give em a shot next time I'm stuck at the airport.

 

God every one of your guys threads turns into a failed insult war. Block each other and be done with it.

OT: as someone who never watched or liked star wars is it worth the watch?

 

I thought it was overhyped and wasn't as good as I thought it would be. They do stay true to the originals though which is nice.

 

Do you have an order I can watch them in? Like the order you're supposed to watch them in or w/e, I'm sure its different than the release dates or some people say.

I always found it weird how they didn't release them in order. Cheers anyways, I'll give them a browse!

 

So how was it? Was it a good movie?

 

The movie was good obviously, pretty tough to mess up Star Wars. However, in my opinion it didn't live up to its hype. Maybe I hyped it up more than I should've but it felt like the movie was more of a drama than anything.

Not many fight scenes, mostly just running around and doing other such things.

Tough to live up to what George did in the previous films.

 

I am watching it today, don't have a huge expectation for it but hopefully it surprises me.

 

Me and a few friends are about to go watch it in like a hour I hope it like it.

I still haven't watched... Tickets are sold out. Im going tomorrow so hopefully.

That's because they created the Original Trilogy (IV, V and VI) which at the time would have been 1 2 and 3. However they later decided to make a prequel trilogy (I, II and III.)

It's not that they were planned to be made out of order really.

 

Lucas revisited the original trilogy and ruined them with unnecessary CGI, and put Episode titles on the opening reels. If you can, try and download Harmy's fan edit's of the original trilogy. They're edited to be as original as possible.

 

Plans changed last minute and we went bowling instead of watching the movie. All just wait for it to come out later and prob see it.
