    Philosophy Question

Suppose there is a dog, the details about what the dog looks like play no importance. A dog is staring at two bowls of food on each side of him. Somewhat like this picture (not exactly its just to give you the idea).

    0 0 Bowls

    () Dog

The bowls are exactly the same, with the same type and amount of dog food in them. The bowls are the exact same distance from him. This is a special dog with no opinions or favoratism of any kind. It doesn't prefer right to left. He has no physical injuries or defects, or anything else for that matter which would make him prefer one direction to the other. This dog just magically poofed into existance in this spot, with no memories of it's past, only it's natural instinct. Which bowl would the dog chose to eat out of if it was hungry and knew it had to eat?

    I don't want answers like:
    z0mg th15 15 57up1d
a direction without giving a reason
anything else that's stupid or irrelevant

If you don't have an opinion, then DONT POST. It's better to not spam the topic than to add 1 to your post count by posting useless trash. If you post anything that is irrelevant to this topic, then it will be reported as spam.

I'd say it'd be random and it could just be that he ates both or just a part of each.

I think he would sit there for a moment to decide, then he would analyze the surroundings and decide.

    Philosophy Question

this is quite a perplexing situation...
assuming that both the bowls are within a reasonable distance from him that would not cause him much effort to move place to place, we would have to apply dog instinct to it.

let's assume that a dog's heart is on the left side of it's body [i just researched this for a while, but could not find it :(] if it was on the left side, then instinct would tell it that the JUGULAR artery of an ENEMY animal would be on the left side of it's body. Dogs are aggressive by nature, and being born into a pack of other dogs, violence may occur, and one dog may have to protect itself in a dog fight.

now, how do we fit this into this problem? like this-
Dog A's heart is on it's left side, it attacks (Dog) B by lunging to the LEFT of (Dog) B, and ripping out it's artery/severing it. Dog A is now standing over (Dog) B's carcass. (Dog) B is lying flat, with it's head pointing to the RIGHT, and Dog A is standing perpendicular to (Dog) B. [this would be the position that both are left at after Dog A kills (Dog) B

let's divide (Dog) B into 2 imaginary section: left section, and right section.

Assuming that Dog A killed (Dog) B to feed it's self, Dog A is now left with the option of beginning his meal on either the left, or the right.
Instinct will tell Dog A to begin it's meal near (Dog) B's back area
NOT because Dog A is gay and wants to eat (Dog) B's dick or anything, but because instinct will tell Dog A these things-

The greater concentration of muscle [the Meat Dog A is most interested in] is in the LEGS, and lower body.
It will also tell him that the heat of (Dog) B's body will dissipate quicker on the end with LESS BLOOD.

the liquids hold the heat, the large concentration would be in the [lungs?] Brain, heart, and now the whole per body because all the blood fro the severed artery has spilled into there.
Dog A will want to eat the part that will get cold faster first, The right side will remain warmer for longer.

    IN CONCLUSION
a dog will go to feast on the meal of whatever side it's heart is on

This is not JUST because his heart is on a certain side: most HUMANS are right handed, and will go for the thing on the RIGHT, but their heart is located on the left

this is all instinct, keep i mind that the average dog's IQ is equivalent to a 2-year-old baby person

Had the dog's heart been on the right, instinct would tell the dog to attack the right side of the enemy. leaving a different outcome.

    Philosophy Question

Well if we are talking about a dog, and from my past expiriences with a dog. This is most likely how it will go down.

The dog will look at wich ever bowl first, then look at the other bowl and say wow I have a great deal here.

Thus he will eat one bowl first, Then walk over and eat the other. He will not have a bias or care wich bowl he ate first because he ate BOTH~!!

To the people who have dogs you know what I am saying, they will eat untill there is no more food infront of them or untill they fall over and die
