Bought Account Locked

I'm just wondering if an account you buy from another member gets locked because it was suspected of being stolen, Is it the sellers responsibility to help you recover or should you have asked for stuff like that at the beginning?

Because i just bought a account off someone and asked him if he could help with the recovery process once it was locked and he hasn't responded. So should i file a scam thingy or am i in the wrong?

 

Yeah. It is up to them to recover the account. If he is not able to recover the account, then he is liable to refund you.

Okay thanks, I did just that. And apparently someone else that bought a account off him today got it locked and reported him.

 

Sounds like he may be scamming. Did you get a PM from him on Sythe as well as take screenshots of the Skype convo and everything?

 

I got a Pm and Skype convos but i didn't manage to take a screenshot of absolutely everything which kinda sucks.

 

Report what you have anyway, the moderators will do their best with the information you have and will help you through the process. I hope it works out for the best. Sorry that account trades are so rough.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the account may get locked when somebody else tries to recover the account. It sounds as if though this is what has happened, so it's best to do what was advised as above.

I would advise only buying accounts from trusted members here at Sythe.org.

 

Accounts can get locked by themselves, with nobody trying to recover it. It's happened one time to a person I've sold an account to. I unlocked it in like 5 minutes and gave it back to him.

 

That can be the case but seems coincidental that it occurred with 2 accounts the user was trying to sell. Nevertheless.

 

Yeah, I agree. In this case, like you said, it's definitely suspicious. And the user seems to be ignoring messages. A report is in order.
