Bitcoin debit cards - do you use them?

I've recently been doing quite a bit of research on bitcoin debit cards and imo the overal concept is awesome.
They can be used just like usual Cards however it makes us possible to use bitcoins as a payment method in pretty much every (offline) shop.

Did any one of you ever use them? If so, what are the pro's/cons you ran in to?

It's not a "bitcoin" debit card.

It's a debit card that you load with bitcoin and it's converted into cash. The fees are ridiculous and often not accepted because the banks that are loading them are in some third world country notorious for money laundering.

Well coinbase just debuted one and its US based isnt it?

edit: apparently you can get the coinbase card if you live in one of the 25 states that they have received approval for.

Yeah wow, Coinbase just released the Shift Card. I'm definitely looking into this. Hopefully they don't have a joke of fees.

The fees are not that bad if you're using a proper company, for example some classic wallets charge the same if not more when selling btc through their website.

The Shift card looks really promising, they're beating their competitors with their service and considerably low fees - I hope they will expand to Europe at some point.

Expanding into these fields will probably garner the attention of companies that will work to regulate bitcoin in some manner.

This is actually crazy awesome. I wonder if it'll be possible in the future to choose to rather accept bitcoins from other people who have the card, instead of converting it to cash.

Doubt I'll ever get my hands into these, the fee's are probably ridiculous and fraud would be on a whole nother level.

    Code:
"The card has a difficult application progress; following the easy login details there is a rigorous ID verification progress which requires the user to have multiple government issued forms of identification. This is a real downside to users who wish to stay anonymous whatsoever"
Basically I'm thinking that people who use these cards are going to be targeted by fraudstars, simply because payments can't be reversed and people are loading a bunch of their personal info online which I imagine is going to also be targetted.

    Code:
scan the QR code printed on the card or obtain a special swiping mechanism.
This is another issue, it's almost like a contactless card that we have now in some countries, if someone gets a hold of the card and can simply scan/swipe it to spend, there's going to be all types of fraud seeing as people are unable to get their money back.

Bitcoin debit cards - do you use them?

    edit:

Not to mention the amount of fake sites that are going to be offering so called "Bitcards" in order to gather personal info and even bank information if they have to use that to load balance.
