Current fastest way to level magic

What exactly is the fastest way to train magic, taking aside costs, and profit. The most efficient way to maximize xp rates per hour?

Bursting/barraging at ape atoll is the best mage xp/hr currently. Stun-alching is similar in xp to bursting (a little less I think) but a lot more click intensive and some of the lunar spells (like string jewelry) also have comparable xp rates.

 

Definitely would suggest bursting over barraging. You'll still get good exp/hr for much cheaper. Stun-alching is just mind-numbing if you're not botting it, and you'll quickly learn to hate it.

 

Assuming that you're bursting and getting an average of 150xp per cast (What myself and my friends seem to average around, and the general consensus from a quick browse on the internet), and it costs around about 900GP for the runes to perform the spell. I've never ice barraged, but the runes cost around 1.6K xp per cast.

Gonna have to agree with Dunworry and say I'd recommend bursting, but hey, if money isn't an issue go for barraging.

I actually think an occult necklace is better for bursting because it doesn't depend on the same mechanic as chinning where your hits depend on your damage to the first target.

 

Bursting rock lobsters was never "good" magic xp, people did it for the charms. Just burst at ape atoll and fire wave splash overnight, you should be good.

 

Pure Addiction, I don't think you can still splash overnight? If so, how?

I just alched my way to 99 magic since it was relaxing and you could chat with people while doing it. This was back in 2008 though.

 

I'm 99% sure you can't. You get logged out after 5 minutes of inactivity, so you have to babysit or bot. Bottings not worth the XP.

I still alch my 99 magic, simply because it requires a lot less attention.

Just put a random interval autoclicker on your client xD I've been doing it since the update. Same with Guthan's in NMZ.

It even works of you put a heavy object on one of the arrow keys, the screen moving counts as interaction with the client.
