Who can recover an account.

Hey guys,

so im looking at buying an account of someone who had bought the account originally off Heidi on Player Auctions. She has a bunch of vouches and is a huge player there. M


My question is will she still have the most control of the account? like recovering and whatnot. Will the 2nd owner have strong chance of a recovery succeeding? Do you think hiedi will honor me the way she'd honor her other costumers?(i tried to contact her no answer yet) Will she help me recover the account when he keeps stealing it?

Original owner had best chance, who has obv recovered it, if you have blocked out of it, the second owner has high chance has he could just say to original owner that you never bought off him.

 

You should tell the seller to put Insurance on it for you that way if anything happens you get reimbursed, but if what I see your saying is correct which is:


Heidi sold the account to Player A
Player A is re-selling the account to Player B

then Heidi really doesn't have any control over the account because if she did intervene she'd be messing with her reputation.


If you're not buying off PA and you don't have the chance to get Insuruance then I really can't say that the account will be safe. PA requires you to provide ALOT of details when selling accounts so it could even turn into a back and fourth struggle if you know what I mean. I think I read the situation right, tell me how it goes.

Yep. Although I'd contact "Heidi" and confirm that it is indeed her account, and that she is willing to help you should you run into trouble down the line. For all you know, the account you're buying was never sold by Heidi.

Dont give advice on things you have no clue about ghast. Not sure how you're a runescape market mod... The original owner can always recover the account and always has the best claim to the account. However anyone, anywhere, at any time can recover a runescape account. The more information they have the easier it is. People have made a living off of recovering accounts.

 

Given that you have enough information, anyone can recover an account.

Yes i believe everyone said this so far. Accounts are recoverable by the person who created it stated by jagex " owner's ip" thats what they look for and other minor things. If the person who sold it to you is trusted and has a lot of rep by all means but at your own risk.
