Explanation of the trade: No trade occurred, one was planned, however.

How they scammed: I was never scammed, the user acted suspiciously throughout our conversation.

#2, Asking the user what they would be selling the name for, if offered to sell at this moment. The user replied with 16mil, presumably old school runescape gold. However, in his thread, he mentioned he would be selling the name for 40-50m '07'.

#3, User proposes we do the trade through TeamViewer, a software used to externally control another person's computer. I instantly let the user know that I will NOT be doing any deals through this.

#4, The user guarantees me they are not a scammer and attempts to safeguard his statement by telling me he has 300 vouches on OsBot and has sold a 'maxed main' via Sythe. There is however no account sale thread to support this, a vouch does exist however, as seen here(I have reported this vouch requesting for it to be verified(please note that when making this topic, the vouch may have already been removed)).

#5, The user expresses skepticism in regards for covering the bonds used to change their name twice in order to free up the name for me. I then offer the user 20mil 07 for the name, say they will be covering the bonds, and I won't be held accountable should a snipe occurr. The user agrees.

#6, The user asks me if I want to do this trade right away, and I agree. They tell me they don't have any RuneScape gold to buy the bonds with, even after they told me they would cover the bonds if I offered 20mil 07 for the name. The user then proposes that I offer 15mil 07 and I cover the bonds, completely changing the deal, after having agreed to my previous proposition.

#7, I ask the user for their OsBot profile, having accidently written OsBuddy in the first place. Typical thing of me to do. I correct my mistake and the user proceeds to give me their OsBot link whilst mentioning they are currently banned for supposedly being hacked and costing another person and/or several people a total of 200mil. Unsure if this is RS3 or RS07 gold. Their OsBot link is as given on Skype http://osbot.org/forum/topic/86607-b4ll3r/?hl=baller but leads to nothing. #8, I then offer the user a different way of completing the trade, and they yet again impose that whatever I am suggesting is unnecessary, due to the sheer worth of 2 bonds(13.7m RS3 times 2, equaling 27.4m)

#9, The user asks for my vouches, and I gladly hand them the link to my vouches page. I tell the user that all my vouches correlates to at least $100+ each, the one from Pickerrell21 being excerpt from this(The vouches from user Penguin13 69 is for doing pest control services equaling a total of 175m 07 gold of which was paid up front, although in increments. Vouches were given separetely but ultimately is a total of 175m 07 for 7000 Pest Points, thus being worth more than $100.).

I do not want the user to be banned, as I have no evidence even linking the user in question to the OsBot profile Baller. All I have is Skype chat logs of a person claiming to be someone, this is hardly concrete.

I want you to know that even if the user turns out to be Baller on OsBot, I still intend on purchasing their name from them, regardless of whether or not they get banned on Sythe.

P.S.

In regards to the user requesting to do the trade via TeamViewer(not necessarily, only monetary intentions were mentioned); I honestly believe they had no malicious intents with this statement, thereof no punishment is needed, although this is generally presumed as attempted computer hijacking and/or item scamming.

 

Banned him due to this. He'll need to resolve his issues over at osbot to be allowed here.
