Thoughts on scripts?

So recently my friend showed me a site called "http://gamingonsteroids.com/"
My mind was fucking blown, there were scripts for almost every champion, my question to you guys is, from personal experience what are the ban rates, and any of you pro scripters here?

Once you get to Diamond the ban rate will be almost 100% as you will be getting reports every game.

Scripting just isn't worth it imo. The feeling of accomplishment upon reaching a new tier/division just isn't the same as if you achieved it legitimately.

 

I think people who use scripts are scumbags lmfao. I mean it is cool but i dont think its worth getting banned for

It's not hard to learn if you just spend a little time. We know they have the ability to ban all the accounts if one is found scripting based on IP, I'd just say it isn't worth it.

I can see your point about it being fun, having like perfect CS and getting 10 kills every game. But you can do the same with a bronze 5 account

 

Scripts are just pathetic... Using a software to gain advantage in a game means you must feel bad at the game and need extras to guarantee a win.

 

Meh, I don't know why you would script. Might be fun to see how you can wreck but honestly there is no point for me. If I scripted and got high Diamond I would know that I'm not that good and wouldn't be able to hold that rank if it was me playing.

This. You're admitting you can't play the game properly.

 

I can see the appeal if you're boosting, but if you're climbing as mentioned by other users it severely downplays your accomplishments

It's just annoying to play against and it's pointless because of the ban rates / you didn't earn the achievement.

Whenever I find out an enemy is scripting I just ask for a lane swap with someone who has targeted abilities.

 

That's actually pretty cool to see. Didn't know there were scripts (or that it was worth developing scripts) for champs apart from Cass/Xerath/Vayne that you often hear complains of scripting about, but now that I think about it there are a LOT more champs that can take advantage of them. Just looking through some of the website, imagining something like a scripting Riven is scary to think about.

That being said, I'm definitely not a fan of scripting myself. It would kill any sense of accomplishment of winning or ranking up, which is basically the only reason I'm still playing. It hasn't been "fun" to play the game for a while now.

 

I'd want to script on a smurf or something to get my account to level 30 quicker by being extremely OP and just make them surrender every game. I'd never do it on my main though XD. Anyone know any safe scripts?

 

Why wouldn't you just play legit? Are you saying that you can't beat pre-30s without scripts lol

 

Leveling up smurfs to 30 is a really horrible experience, especially because even though almost everyone else is also a smurf, the skill levels vary so much between players/teams that games can spiral out of control and become unwinnable no matter what you play. While I wouldn't script myself on a smurf, I can understand the appeal in having a bigger guarantee in winning games because losing them is a waste of time if you have x4 xp boosts. I'm currently leveling up an account to 30 myself and it just flat out sucks. Don't see why Riot doesn't just sell new level 30 accounts or make it easier to get there if you already have a level 30, there's no reason for them not to..

 

If they sold level 30 accounts it'd be a bomb, but then they'd have to implement some ranked limit for the people who buy it for obvious reasons.
