Got hit by a Rwt ban On 07(Interesting)

Intresting case, it would seem that One of my major mules got hit by a RWT ban today.


Not only that, but the unique thing is have a look at this:




It's not listed as a rwt ban(major) its actually listed as a goldfarming ban, quite strange?


Now before you go all sappy on me, my losses werent super major


Fournately my 07 stock was quite low, so I only took like a 15m 07 hit.


The part that you as the community should be worried about however, is that I was on a voider doing the trading, which indicates a strange issue that it was banned.


The voider was like a $50 account(full void, 70 range, 52 prayer,etc)


So total loss was like $60 not a big deal.



Still though, The fact that I was actually hit with a major gold farming ban is concerning o.o.


This was no junk chinese account, this was a voider with stats & high combat from an american IP.


Here's the major relief though:


My other mules(even my level 3's) we're not issued a ban.


the level 3 had something like 4.3b rs3 on it & then the other mule was a max main on 07 lol.


I have to say It's a good thing jagex doesnt reveal their methods because I have no idea how the hell u can detect a mid level voider but not a level 3 with 4.5b rs3 or a rs07 max main lol.



Curious , You rarely EVER see rs07 rwt bans on this forum so I wonder what people will think.

 

It seems to be that however cautious you are they'll catch you eventually. I always wonder myself what methods they use to detect it.

 

I want to point out this was just RS07 not used for dmm/rs3 or anything else.

 

Maybe the person you was selling gold to was the main reason you got banned? he may have bought a lot of gold and been fagged?

I know why I was banned, but for the sake of a certain company I wont name who lol(I'm 99% sure).

 

I've been doing some very light botting on 2 accounts and got 48 hour bans on both of them after like 2 days of botting.

1 of them I accidentally left mining overnight, which is understandable, however the other did about an hour and a half of green dragons, which even though it's green dragons I wouldn't expect that to happen.

 

A botting ban is nothing like a rwt ban, a jmod actually had to manually ban me.

 

That's what they list them as. Sometimes is a Real World Trading Goldfarmer, sometimes its a macroing goldfarmer. Really depends tbh.

 

Hmm kinda worrisome... We recently had 2 of our 07 mules banned as well. These had trained stats from American I.P's as well. Either we encountered the same buyer flagged or jamflex is taking a look at gold sellers more in depth.

 

I hope they're not starting to ban them, that'd be a real pain. If anything, a temporary interest in banning them, hopefully.

 

I got hit earlier this year. Took a 240m 07 hit.

Still above in profits by far though. lol

 

My question is how do they differentiate from RWT and Swapping GP? Since they said they'd allow the swapping of GP from Rs3/07/DMM.

 

I have traded with years hundred billions without problems.

Maybe someone reported you on that account. I know reports are pretty important when jagex detects bots. Maybe its the same for gold selling.

 

What it's listed as many be solely under the jurisdiction of who was in charge of slapping bans that day.

 

That's what I'm wondering. It has to be something specific they're seeing.

 

For the most part their methods are entirely manual. They may have a system which flags accounts doing a large amount of one-sided trades, but ultimately a real person has to investigate and determine whether it's RWT. Unless they are highly certain it is RWT, they probably just leave it alone.

For that reason, some accounts can be caught after only a few trades if they are unlucky, while others can slip through the cracks for months doing tons of trades before their account is manually reviewed.

 

So wait, they have an automatic system in place that flags them of potential activity, right? It's just the manual process of investigating whether it is certainly RWT?

 

I can understand the maxed 07 account being left alone but its wild how the lvl 3 with 4.3b got left alone if they was hitting you for goldfarming/rwt.
