So what exactly is up with Black Santa hats ATM???

I was planning on buying on but they seem to have made a jump from 600m to 900m in the matter of a few months. I don't want to fall for it if this is somekind of price manipulation by merchanting clans as I've heard some people theorizing, does anyone know what's going on? or is the the usual boom then bust pattern of holiday rares albeit a bit extreme this time around?

as a rule of thumb, never invest in rares in the holiday season. invest in rare in like may or so, that's what i would do

 

It'll start crashing around the turn of December. Definitely do not buy it now.

A very sudden increase in their price over a month's period, don't know what to make out of that.

 

I certainly do hope the prices come back to normal. I have them keepsaked on my recent acquisitions, but I need just one more for a new baby main/eyecandy fasionscape account I'm creating. I was not prepared for such a jump.

If you make money easily (50M+ a day from QBD easy) then don't worry about it. If you do care about loosing a 100m or so, I'd wait until Jan/Feb see where it settles. Nothing says that'll go down 100% for sure, look at party hats... I bought my blue back in March/April this year for 4.5b, now they are sitting around the ~6B mark.

When it comes to this time of year people just naturally assume someone with a big bank or a few merchants buy santas which isn't the case every year, however they want to jump on the wave so they invest causing it to go up from all these small merchants.

Tl;dr If money is easy, buy asap. If not, wait till Jan/Feb.

 

I have heard it is the intention of a small group of individuals to try and uplift it to near party hat status. I did not expect it to be possible or be happening this quickly.

Shame, I really like it for its aesthetic value. I am banking on my luck and hoping another holiday rare gets released this year as to momentarily aleviate the demand such as I can snag a few more.

It's nearly Christmas and usually after price surges like this a permanent shift occurs to tremendously raise / inflate prices over time.

Hmmm, most of the people I've talked to ingame said they will be selling in the next 2 weeks. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Most are acknowledging the possibility of a crash lol. I am crossing my fingers.

 

They're going to want to sell now, or within the next couple days. As far as I know, people start dumping the days coming up to December.

 

I wouldn't purchase it at the moment, wait until February and the price will dive back down.
