Win Lifetime Membership! Runescape Competition

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if you have all stumbled across this but I came across it when I was browsing Facebook! Apparently, the deal is; Runescape are making another quest and have turned to the community to come up with a prize of completion, whether it be a costume, pet or other thing!

Sounds like a good idea actually, I doubt i can win, but im going to give it a shot.

 

The odds of me of winning are mediocre compared to the difficulty.

Like how they are reintroducing lifetime membership though .

One day we might be able to buy it.

 

Yeah man, do you think you could do something like a costume, and throughout the quest you collect different pieces and by finishing the quest you receive the last item to complete the outfit?

That'd be really cool!

 

I have my own ideas, but I'm not a fan of a costume or such. There are already way too many cosmetic overrides and such. I'm going to find something better ^-^

I'd imagine the only reason they'd start selling lifetime membership is when they know the game is going to die out within the next couple of years. Only 2 ways they'd do it tho

1. They make it really expensive, thus profiting whether or not the game actually makes it that far in terms of (#of months / price)= life of game

2. They make it affordable and start losing money on the amount of people that purchase it.

Doesn't seem too bad. The example is made from paint. So I might give this a go and see what happens.

 

Exactly, I wouldn't suspect they would be expecting a masterpiece representation.

 

Yeah those seem to be the only two options seeing as the number of new players is declining, so the playerbase now is the playerbase that will stay for the rest of however long RS will last.

Will probably shoot in an idea - a long shot of winning, but may as well try

I agree with the aforementioned, when Jagex decide to open up lifetime membership that will be the end of Runescape trying to pool funds before closure. What are your thoughts on what you might enter, Halide?
