Help needed with reducing file size.

Ok so in order to prove my financial assets I am wanting to upload sponsorship letters, bank statements, salary slips from both parents, however I converted the files into PDF hoping it would bring the size down, I am still at 16 Mb and the allowed limit is 4 Mb, even in a JPEG format the file is too big, how do I go around this when it is necessary to upload all these documents? And I scanned the documents with a low DPI as well, I have even tried compressing the PDF files however I am still above the 4 MB.

It is being sent to immigration Canada for a study permit if anyone is curious.

 

Have you tried using Google search to compress the size of the PDF file, I've done this a few times before.

yes i have however they all compress it to 4.35MB and I cant seem to get lower than that

 

Is there no chance any of the files/documents regarding the personal information could be shortened or combined into it's own folder, would that help?

 

Everything has to be in one folder and I really can't leave any of the information out, if I had the option to do that there wouldn't be a problem here

 

And what about sending two separate folders maybe, ensuring you have them tracked and noted down as your property?

 

Ehh, MyCIC is terrible. I would try and contact them to see if they're able to accept the documentation via Email or other means. Is that a plausible option?

 

Yes I agree with you MyCic is terrible, and if I were to send it by mail my visa would not get approved in time, and emailing is not an option either lol. The phone support number is outdated as well. Tried phoning them the other day.

 

Sending two seprate folders is not an option as they require everything to be in one folder and the size under 4MB, I scanned the documents with 96 DPI, the lowest setting on my scanner.
