Thoughts on deadman mode market

Who thinks there'll be a market for deadman mode GP? I dont think so because there won't be a ge so nothing really to spend gp on...

Do you think gp will still sell? or will it be a market based on supplys?

Old School RS had no GE for ~2 years after it launched. Gold was still the currency players used to buy from each other, and trades were negotiated in-game and using official forums.

I think gold will be bought and sold as in any other version of RS.

 

it will probably be the same as each game except with just higher prices i imagine. there will def be sales going on though, prices of items will be hard to determine i imagine

 

Higher prices but much less demand.. Smaller player base and gold doesn't have the same uses / utility as it does in the main game

 

Didn't watch the Q&A. Is this going to be the same as darkscape, in the regard that everywhere is a PvP area? If so, how will you sell items lol?

 

The aim of its basically to be iron man but PVP everywhere, they are disabling the GE.

@r2pleasent i see your point but although when there was no ge people couldnt just kill someone for there items, with deadman mode any level can kill any level i believe.

 

I'm pretty sure there's safe zones from what they've been saying in the Q&As and forum posts.

 

When there is trade able currency there will always be a market. Gold wont be too easy to obtain when you can die at any time and on top of that no g.e. so I can see gold selling for a fair bit.

 

deadman is gonna be a complete flop, they should of made it like darkscape if they want it to succeed!

 

I believe items will be much higher demand than gp in deadman mode. There is no safe way to spend it except in shops. Personally I think it is a silly gamemode and will not be very popular in the future.

Small playerbase, and I see it dying down slowly.

There could be a market, but I only see it lasting a few months at most.

 

It's a new release of course it will be popular until people realize it sucks.

 

I honestly don't see the point in continuously creating new game-modes, let people enjoy the current ones first.

Everything comes to an end sooner or later, Jagex are just asking for trouble.
