    Lifting while cutting

    My most recent cut left me off stronger than I was before I started. I ate around 1500 calories a day and kept my diet low fa, high protein and under 30 carbs each day. While this was going on my bench and everything else slightly increased. So I gained muscle strength while burning fat!

    From this I have concluded I will lift normally at all times and only alter my diet and cardio for cycles and appearance.

    What do you guys think about lifting in such a fatigued state?

    I feel it would be quite dangerous to do so if you are doing so without the proper knowledge and pushing yourself WAY over your limits while at the same time depriving your body of its source of energy.

    But I find lifting while cutting can be treated similarly to running with an elevation mask since you are training your body to do more with less intake. Both share the concept of depriving the body with something that is required to run the body in its optimal form.

    I think it's great.

    Lifting while cutting

    The only time I have injured myself while lifting was curling too much after two weeks off from the gym. Granted that I've only been lifting for three years now.

    When it comes "your limits" I think its safe to safe that as long as you can lift the weight it's fine and wont injure you after you've been doing the same workout for a week or so. The only thing I don't push hard are my hamstrings because I always have a feeling they'll give out.

    It's always tough on your body when you're lifting heavy yet intaking little to no carbs in a strict cut. Not exactly good for you, but that's life.

    Lifting while cutting

    Personally, I don't cut out my carbs when cutting, I just go for a calorie deficit.
    I'll eat a little before a work out for enegy and training pretyt much the same as when I'm bulking, just slighty less weight and a little more reps.
    As long as you reach a calorie deficit, you're cutting.

    There is no "season".
    People cut all times of year for competitions of because of the cycle they're on.

    Not to mention with the fabled bro "cutting for summer", there are other places in the world than america and, believe it or not, the seasons are actually different in those places. Go figure.
