Not really no, seeing as you'll have an AMD motherboard and that a CPU change on a laptop is very difficult and complicated (but still possible).
Laptops are generally built for the hardware within. The only parts readily changeable are the RAM and Hard Drive usually. Not so sure on older models. Changing a GPU or CPU in a laptop would be a hell of a nightmare to achieve, as well as the thermal problems that would come with it. The heatsinks are usually built to keep the processor just under throttling at full load. Your best bet, buy a new laptop.
Everything is so compact and covered in solder most likely you'll ruin the motherboard trying to switch. Your best bet is to buy a new laptop and hopefully get some $$$ out of the one you have right now.
Laptop cpu's are lower-power/underclocked versions of the PC processors. Even newer i5/i7 laptop processors generally run 2.4 through 3.0ghz stock. As previously stated, in most laptops the cpu/gpu are soldered to the mobo itself, and trying to replace/upgrade the chip will be extremely difficult, and you're likely to do more damage than good. Just buy a new laptop or invest in building a PC.
Let me comment that your best bet is probably an SSD upgrade, basically a hard drive which works much much faster (and doesnt have a spinning hard disk). I've upgraded my laptop quite a few times though, RAM, SSD and a new fan. Especially the last part is not something you do in under 1.5h. I dont think its worth the gamble to upgrade your processor though because its quite possible it wont even work for your laptops motherboard and that the new power consumption level is too high
I tried doing the same thing with my crappy HP laptop, and it's a no go'er. Build a desktop man, that way you can just change your parts whenever.
