Multiple Signatures

How is it getting rid of the signature and putting it in the post instead? Why is it not what I said in the OP?

Because it ties a signature to a post instead of tying a signature to all posts.

 

I don't think that's true since currently you have to choose whether or not you want your signature to show for every single post, it just so happens that the option to post your signature is already checked by default. That means that currently signatures are already tied to posts, this only gives an option of more signatures, as I stated at the end of the OP.

Again, I don't know shit about coding and I could be wrong but that's just how I see it.

 

Honestly never noticed that. Might make this possible easier but it really depends and it still might be ridiculously annoying.

Seems like a good idea, especially for people who are interested in buying or selling their signature space.

 

I think it could be a 75$ donor perk as people love to donate in values of 25$ per time? Just an idea

That's not a valid reason to not support something. That literally means you wouldn't support anything else unless it was a major threat to the site like a possible leak or break in the coding. If it isn't high priority it'll be put on the to-do list, but saying not to do it all together is just dumb if it's a good idea.

 

That doesn't mean that some of the smaller things can't be done simultaneously.

What's wrong with making another table for signatures?

Table: UserID, Signature

For each signature a user adds, input a row.
If they want to delete a signature, delete that row.

When posting, pull up the rows by simply using a SELECT query.
Problem solved, no hacky solutions, no additional columns.
