Wernis - Scam

Explanation of the trade: I was going to sell the account to him via paypal for $45 USD. I never received money, he claimed to have sent the money which is a lie. Then became unresponsive on skype.

How they scammed: User claimed to have sent the money via paypal, although I believe he photoshopped a photo and made it say he has sent $45.00 to my paypal, in which i never received any money.

Now he is claiming his sythe was hacked although he provided the correct skype account in the first pm and didn't mention it at all in the second PM here:

Does look like a hack. I've killed all active sessions on the account for now.

Yeah he scammed my account from me, I'll have to recover it.

Yeah, no problem.

He's just acting fishy now, I honestly believe he intended to scam me and the other user that also has an open report on him.

I've recovered the account, although I have given out recovery information already to the person who hacked Wernis, not so sure my account is safe from being recovered by him.

 

If you're the original owner of the account you'll be fine for recovering purposes. Jagex has systems in place to help assist the original owner from competing recoverers
