    World of Worthcraft?

    What's up, Sythe?

I've been grinding a lot of games on Steam lately, but been getting kinda tired of them. Running comp in CS:GO is only fun for so long. I've also been watching vids from one of my favorite WoW players lately. Not necessarily amazed by the content they've been putting out, but I really do miss the game in general and waiting for Corecraft to come out is giving me serious blue balls.

My question to you is do any of you still play? If so, what do you play? Do you genuinely enjoy it? Is it even worth re-subbing or do you just play because you've already put hours into your toons kind of thing?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rogue

Could you elaborate, please? That's really not helpful at all.

I love the idea of it. I always go through little phases where I really want to try to get back into it, and then I play for a day and then give up. For me, it's always been a bit too confusing to do things other than the story line. Ran some dungeons with my friend to quickly get up to level 90 for the first time and when we started to close in on about 80 I became too useless and confused. It's one of those games where I really want to try to get into it, but I can't.

I've been playing casually and experiencing it basically for the first time, I've found it very enjoyable.

I've done this a couple times as well. I think a lot of it has to do with nostalgia and it kind of clouds my judgment. I pick the game back up and then realize it's not what I remembered it as. Same kind of thing goes for below:

I would give anything to experience WoW for the first time again. Unfortunately my standard for the game is exponentially higher than most new players because I've been playing on and off since Vanilla. And let me tell you something if you don't already know: Vanilla and Burning Crusade were easily the golden age of the game. Nothing compares and when I come back to stuff like WotLK/Cata, I don't hate the game, but I enjoy it less than I think I will.

I do, however, know they've been doing a lot of patching and maintaining WoD, and with the new expansion Legion coming out there is supposedly a ton of new content coming with it. This makes me anxious to try the game out again.

World of Warcraft is only as fun as you want it to be. If you're looking for any sense of community or challenge outside of mythic raiding then you're playing the wrong game, but if you're looking for a (practically) free game to waste time on and pretty zones to experience, it's definitely worth the 35k a month to play.

To answer your questions though I still play off and on, the only real enjoyment I get out of the game anymore is soloing old content (I'm up to like 8 legendaries now) and playing the auction house.

I play on and off since I can buy time with gold now. It's a blast right now to level up and experience endgame content for a month or two, anything past that and you get sucked up into having to do garrison shit everyday, for every alt.

The WoD content is amazing, it's just really lacking at 100 imo.
