Please help me! [SAT College]

Hey guys, I know I'm probably a stranger to all of you, but I really need some help. I need to raise $70 for my SAT test as I am a senior, and applying to colleges, but cannot pay the test at the moment. I'm a 3.8-4.0 GPA student with all AP's and honors, and involved in many extra curriculars, but my family is in a financial situation. My mom has a herniated disc on her back, and her treatment costs $7800, so I'm without help from my parents right now. I really need your guys' help.

I'm willing to do anything for the money. I have two weeks to raise it, I'm willing to League of Legends boost, sell League accounts, or any other odd job on the market. I'm a nerd and can do a lot on the computer please help me! Please post or message me with anything!

 

Hey man, I would recommend opening up a service for people in the LoL section and seeing if you can gain some jobs in return for payment. I would also post a thread here: http://www.sythe.org/job-listings-user-resumes/ wuth your resume and hopefully you'll find an employer willing to hire you!

 

You might want to see if they have any option for a reduced fee. I remember my friend having troubles paying the 70 or 80$, but they had a fee waiver if you couldn't afford it or had extraordinary circumstances. I'd look into that and see if your area provides that.

I attempted that, but their process is taking really long, and I won't have time to register on time :/

 

Preparation is key bud. Try to come up with the money one way or another; I'd suggest asking to do oddjobs from neighbors (depending on age) or an online shop. In the future, you should prepare ahead of time for that bud.

 

Yeah well I had prepared for it... I had like $2k in the bank... But my mom's health over education at the moment. So had to help her with that, and unluckily my boss is out of town. I'm trying to do odd jobs but no one will hire me.

 

Ah man this sounds like a really terrible situation. I really hope things start to look up for you. This may sound really basic, but in my honest opinion, at this point of time, positive thoughts will bring positive outcomes. You should start being really proactive about looking for a part time job, go hand out resumes to all the local stores. Promote yourself and make your potential employer understand that you are a motivated individual.

 

I would but I'm currently volunteering tutoring kids, and I have 4 AP classes, 3 honors, and an elective. So I'm sunk I'm work and volunteering.

 

Priorities. If this application is really that important you can give up volunteering for a bit.

If you have time to be on a computer, you have time to look for a part time job.

 

I can't, a part time job requires being there at the same time every day. I can work online to my convienience and when I'm not dumped with school work.

Also the volunteering is my senior project

You don't have any family members who can loan you $50? Or a teacher or something?

 

I'm not a person to ask for debt from teachers, and family all in Mexico, in worse financial situations :/

 

I don't have much of a resume, and no ones offered me any jobs :/ I've only gotten 2 boosts, but nothing else rn.

Hey man, the resume does not need to be exhaustive here at Sythe, maybe just list some of your key personal attributes and workstyle qualities in addition to some of your previous experience and a short paragraph as to why people should consider hiring you. If you were really serious about obtaining the funds, you ought be proactive about the whole situation. This should take you no longer than 20 minutes to organise and will hopefully return advantageous.

 

Okay, if it can be that short I'll definitely get on it after church today! Only got A little bit left, so hope to make the best of it

 

Also, it is really hard to rely on you if one of these two person who gives you a job hasn't news from you for two days and you seem to have had some suspicious behavior with the customer's account. I really didn't want to write here things like this but i hope to get your attention since you do not reply to private messages here on sythe although you're online and neither you reply on skype. Hope to have news from you soon.
