    Herox555's Ranging Guide

    Range Guide
Ill be honest, I never really liked any ranging guides I've read all they do is tell you to go to the same spots(Moss Giants, Fire Giants) at certain lvls. So I'm making a guide that doesn't use these spots.

NOTE: These are just recommendation, but if you hate the training spots then don't do it, because if you can't endure the spot you probably won't endure range training there for long.

    ITEMS:

Here are some Items you will be using after reaching that level

Dragon Hide: Comes in Green, Blue, Red, Black (40, 50, 60, 70 ranging in color order)

Magic Short Bow: great bow with +69 range bonus at lvl 50 ranging

Ranger Set: lvl 40 ranging equipment that gives +8 range bonus each part (Robin hood hat and Ranger boots)

    1 - 40:
Fastest: Cannon at any place where you won't get hurt, but no hp xp

    1 - 10:
Decent: Chickens in Lumbridge Chicken farm

    11-20:
Decent: Cow in lumbridge cow farm

    21-40:
    Decent: Barbarian Village

Now(this is about the time you want to get Membership, otherwise its gonna be a pain in the butt to lvl up)

Memb: (Free will be after members)

    ALTERNITIVE:
Requirement: 10k gp, Optional: 5k Bronze Arrows(if you want the maximum xp)
Speed: Very Fast, in xp and boredom level
For those with Great amount of WILL. Training in Range Minigame will be fastest for quite a while. Since you can potentially get upto about 40k Range XP, at 55 ranging, an hour, At lvl 40 Ranging (30k an hour) (Although I can't stand more than 20 minutes). Heres What you do. Remember Mouse Keys for Alching? If you don't Press Left ALT, Left SHIFT, and Numpad (at same time), then click settings. Then turn on USE MOUSEKEYS. Then have your guy aligned so that he can shoot at the Target, but have it so the angle of view sets the same place you clicked target to be where the X button for the You Scored [insert point here] Menu. Then press the Numpad 5. After your 10 Arrows are used. Talk to the gamer once again to start a new game.

40-60: FAST: Rock Crabs(Yes these little weak 50 hp monsters who has 1 def are a very good source for xp to those who use Iron Knives.) Other wise if you are using bronze arrows(which is stupid cause they cost 15 gp, and are twice as slow and frail compare to iron knives) go train on Mountain Dwarfs(Fishing Contest quest required) until 50 ranging. Then go hit King Lathas' Training ground with bronze arrows until 60(DO NOT PICK UP ARROWS!, but if you have to stand next to the entrance of the cage so you can save time while picking up arrows).

60-80: FAST: Now this is where the xp increase bout 8k an hour. At lvl 60 ranging you get access to red d hide, and by now you should have done the quests required for King Lathas' Training Ground. Now this is one of my favorite training spots for ranging, because you can now buy alot of bronze arrows without wasting that much money! That is, in King Lathas' training ground you can power your ranging with bronze. It is because you get around 1 rannar seed per every 2k bronze arrows you waste. While you 2k bronze arrows cost( 15 each, or 30k) your rannar seed cost 25k. That means that you lost 5k per 2k bronze arrows( or 2.5 gp each) for powerlvling 28k xp an hour. Not only that these Ogres have the greatest rate of dropping Rannar seeds, because they only drop seeds.

Otherwise: go train on experiments(nearly 100 hp) and you can easily pick up your arrow/knives/etc.

When you reach 80 ranging, congrats you have gotten 2 million ranging xp, thats quite alot. At this point wearing full blk d hide and magic short lets you hit frequently on all monsters.

80+: This is the point many people divide into different ways, a popular way is PC, which can get you 117k xp in 2.5 hour(at 80 ranging), and more likely you are to find people to invite you to lvl 95+ pc worlds. Very few choose the fastest way possible, not because its hard, but because it is very costly. It requires 43 prayer, alot of prayer pots(7k each), and thousands of red chimchopes(750 each), which people use against monkey skeletons in Ape Atoll, but get bout 150k xp an hour, which is the fastest xp in all of Runescape, that still exists(Charging without the pause was the fastest). Otherwise, I recommend you find your own training place now, for it is not only the xp rate an hour that helps but how much your brain can handle the training ground.

    Free:

    40-50: Minotaurs in Security stronghold

50-70: At the oracle's you should see the gates of black knight castle, and if you go as north as the oracle's mountain lets you go, you will be able to kill 3 guards, who have 20 hp each, and don't waste your time getting bronze arrows cause at this point in f2p you'll be bearly getting any xp anywhere else, so powerlvl here with bronze arrows, because they respawn fast so the people in the black knight quest can be stopped if they dont have the right items.

Congrats you have reached 70 ranging in F2P, now I must insist that you get Membership, because you will have a very hard time lvling up now, but if you must do f2p, then go hit lesser demons in Cranor, there is a safe spot in the bushes.

Your guide contains unique information and I completely agree with "Ill be honest, I never really liked any ranging guides I've read all they do is tell you to go to the same spots(Moss Giants, Fire Giants) at certain lvls. So I'm making a guide that doesn't use these spots."

You can improve your guide by adding pictures and more information on eg. monsters, places etc. Good job though! :)
