Who ever hit sythe also hit fagex also hit fagex. But it wasn't a normal run of the mill script kiddy. When we when down we were hitting spikes of over 12k connections from different ip's. That means who ever took us down used a botnet with over 12k people.

This over loaded our vps which we were one. and the main node went to 100% processer (2x duel core xeon processer 2.4ghz each) and 100% of our memory (1gb with 1gb burst mem). This i immediatly disabled the dedicated ip fagex was on and closed fagex.

We then went to layertech and bought a pent 4, 2gb ram, 100mbit connection dedicated server with advanced ddos monitering and protection.

But im glad its back now, even if its a little laggy.
