Fact or Fiction: Is there really the One for Everyone?

I believe that true love is that one person that will truly wholeheartedly love you no matter what you do to them. And that they will always be there for you and love you unconditionally. Finding that "one" person is difficult because after all, there are billions of people in the world.

But do you believe that there's that one person out there, a soulmate per say, for you?

I met my soulmate late last year and to this day i am still with her.
I've given her plenty of reason to leave me but she still stands behind me and supports me in whatever i want to do.

Also if you're interested, try looking into "Twin Flames" I believe my girlfriend and i are a twin flame partners.

Given the statistics, if you find your soul mate where you live, there's probably 1,000,000 soul mates out there for you.

It's a matter of happiness, you'll find your soul mate if you're two decent human beings with the same interests. I don't believe there's only one destined for you, otherwise there'd be very few people with people they consider their soulmates.

Nearly everyone has an exact opposite due to lunar poles and tide shifts.

Survival of the fittest states there are very few without one and those are left wondering who'll they'll end up with.

I don't believe in THE one. Theres over 6 billion people in the world. Theres way more than 1 person for you. With that said, just find someone that makes you happy man. If you're lucky to find someone you enjoy being with, don't go looking for better. Grass isn't always greener on the other side, it's greener where you water it.

I don't think there is necessary a soulmate or "the one" for somebody. I just think there are certain people in the world that you're more compatible with.

I agree with this. Eventually you'll run into someone who you find more attractive inside and out than others. Just a matter of time.

Yeah, there are so many stories where you see couples divorce and go off finding people that they're more compatible with, and live happily off.

I think the most important part of relationships would be if the partner is able to stimulate you mentally/intellectually and physically.

It may take awhile, or you may never find your one, but I think there is a one for everyone. It's usually not "love at first site" or other fairtytale stories, but I feel that there is a "one" (which may be more than one) out there that suits you exquisitely.

    I'd go with this^

My girlfriend now is my "the one" to me and we plan on getting married etc some point in the next 2 years.
However she has different interests than I and that doesn't make us not right for each other. If anything it leaves us space to do our own thing so we don't get bored of each other.

Did you think your past girlfriends were "the one" as well until it didn't work out?

For me? It's hard to say. I loved someone for a very long time but we're polar opposites and we almost never talk to each other, we're an hour drive from each other as well so we only get to see each other every couple months when we're both free.

But when we do, even if we go after a year without talking we always feel at home with each other. I'm getting off topic. I don't think there is such a thing as "the one". I think that somewhere along the lines you'll meet one or two people that you feel are inevitable or that you're so totally compatible with, and it's great.

I think that there's a good chance, out of all the people in the world, that you'll find someone dear to you. However, I don't think even a lifetime can prove that they're the only person in the world you would have thought of as "the one". Many of us have gone through multiple relations genuinely believing we've found them.

    From Google-
    soul mate:
a person ideally suited to another as a close friend or romantic partner.

There's no mentioning of being together forever or that there can only be one. It's simply someone you can get along with. So yeah I think there are probably very many "soul mates" for you out there in the billions of people on Earth.

As far as "THE ONE", nah. I think you could live a very happy life with almost anyone really as long as both of you are willing to work at your relationship and respect each other.

You may find such a person. However, there is NO such "person" by default. Its the experience that you share, the bonding that you build and the understanding you have, which makes it impractical to go back to basics. There comes a time in a relationship when we overlook any flaws. When this happens to both the partners, they may consider each other "soulmates" or "made for each other". This is FALSE. This can be developed with just about any stranger. It all depends on who is more open to you and who you are comfortable talking to. Once there is no shyness, everyone is a potential "Soulmate".

If there was only ONE for everybody, then i think its amazing how so many people have found their 'ONE', in world with 7 billion people.

I think everybody has many people they would call their 'soulmate' if they ever meet them.
